Sent a email to Lydden yesterday thanking them for putting on a good show , got a reply back thanking us for taking part and they said our cars looked great (even without a gazebo ) and this event will be held every year on the May day bank holiday and they would very much like us to attend again

Agree it's a horrible smell, if it is still the original clutch then maybe it could be on the way out, try driving along in 3rd gear at about 3000rpm and accelerate with your foot on the brake just holding it back and see if it slips at all

Clutchs normally do smell for quite a while after a bit of stick but it should be fine if this is the first time it's done it, i had the clutch smell in my car for over a week when when i slipped it too much in Germany last year although mine is a uprated item

It's £5 per car for the stand which Prodrive Tony has already paid, now he did say pay him on the day but personally i would like to try and get the money together before hand so he isn't left out of pocket for any reason, if it's acceptable to everyone i can collect the money and forward it onto Tony as he doesn't come on here all the time
