  1. After one trip to Extreme UK in Stourbridge they sorted my steering issue in 10 minutes flat. One seizing steering column joint, one spray of magic oil and everything is normal. The car I have just bought a 2001 88k one family owned wrx had been used very little in the last 2 years and the steering had just stiffened up . It felt a lot more serious than It was and they were very straight at the dealership and sorted it easily with no oh it's your pump, oh it's your rack, oh it 's your drive belt. Just honest efficient problem solving. THANK YOU TO SIMON AND ANDY AT http://www.xtreme-uk.net/. RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY OF YOU.
  2. Happy birthday. I am almost 40 and just bought my first impreza. Looking forward to many years of fun in a succession of cars. Tom.

  4. Right on it guys. Silicone and more silicone this Sunday. Can't wait to go to Extreme in Stourbridge on Monday to see about heavy steering issues. (Unrelated topic). Anyone ever been there? I think they are going to be a regular destination while I sort my new Scooby out with all the little niggles I've found.

  10. Hi, Brakes this time on my 2001wrx uk model. Had a quote for brakes and the garage suggested adl blueprint components (discs and pads all round ). I can source Pagid brakes and discs which I'm told by the motor factors supplier are very good. I have no knowledge of either brand. Anyone out there used either or got any recommendations for a good alternative please?
  11. Thanks for this . If anyone knows the name of the additive then please shout. I'll have alook online
  12. Hi Everyone, Sit rep- bought myself my first Scooby today :-)) 2001 WRX UK CAR 88k. Very straight, FSH £1900 Did I get a bargain? Hope so! BUT it clearly has an issue with heavy steering at low speeds and steering seems to kick in as stiffer if you try to manoeuvre quickly at low speed. NOT the normal slower steering at low speeds I reckon something is up! I was a valeter for Ralliart UK in 1999 so have driven dozens of these in the past and sensed the prob within a mile or two. Only just been able to afford this after 14 years wanting one )! Hope one of you Scooby enthusiasts may put my mind at rest and recommend a solution. Bear with me on this forum. Never really used one before. Has anyone used the Scooby project in Ledbury Herefordshire? They are 18 miles away so might pop to see them and talk cars. Thank you very much or reading my first post. Cheers, Tom.
