  1. Take a look at this one Graeme[] [:|]
  2. And i don't. []
  3. I didn't think there was much wrong with the thread TBH. True myself and Gav got a BIT heated, but in the end it was smilies and winks, we both were open to admitting defeat, if the other proved us wrong and i don't feel inany way upset about the thread, although i apologise the the thread starter, for abusing it some what.
  4. I was actually going to edit the last post, but this should rectify previous post's also. It's supposed to be a shell from a Version 6 STi. This is obviously a newer car and i'm wondering, why the RB5 never got the STi6 front lip??
  5. I was actually gonna let this one lie, as i thought we'd ran out of puff there, but you've just said something else there which is not true. Not all UK turbo scoob's have rear seat's that drop down. Why wouldn't RB5's have that, if every other one does? This next question, is purely curiosity. If the P1 is the same as the STi version 5 Type-R, then it SHOULD have this solid rear bulkhead, but i don't remember ANYONE mentioning, going out of there way to say it has one, it has the solid rear bulkhead? Is it even WORTH mentioning? I'll bet if you ask the guy on Ebay, what and where it is and if he could provide a pic of it, he'll say "I dunno". Not because he's thick, but the bit's of metal i now think you mean, are not only fitted to version 5 scoobs. Again, me old RA had these trianglular parts, welded into each side of the bulkhead, just forward of where the rear speakers would sit. I will say one thing, i'm not entirely sure if the rest of the UK scoobs got it or not, but i know for sure, the jap car's had this solid rear bulkhead. Just waiting to be PROVEN wrong. []
  6. Lol, how'd you mean, re-con?
  7. Oh and how much did you EVENTUALLY sell me old RB5 for? You certainly didn't make the roughly £7k, that you bumped the price up by! Lol.
  8. Lol, show me a picture of this solid rear bulkhead. It's easy to do, as if what you say is correct and it's not that daft wee bolted in bar, i really haven't got a clue where the difference was. Seen as you work with them every day, i doubt tht getting a pic, is difficult for you. Just to let you know, i am myself on my fourth scoob, at the age of 25. One of them being an RA, which didn't have an alloy tailgate or wings, or thinner glass......and did infact have sound deadening!! [] And before you say it, it WAS an RA and if you'd like proof of these things, i can arrange that no problems! There'smany things that aren't all true. God, a lot of tuners can't tell what cam's will be found in certain Jap car's, as they can be different from one to another, even though it's the same model and it's never been split. Up until a while ago, people didn't believe there was a 2 door WRX NON STi available and even then, when the selling advert appeared, they still didn't believe it. [] So all i'm saying there, is keep your eye's and ear's open. I'm more than welcome to be corrected, as it's a learning process, but your so stuck in your way's and so up yourself, that all YOU know what is true and correct, that i'd rather stay and talk to myself. []
  9. Yup, that was my own and i simply can't fathom how a removable bar is a solid rear bulkhead....unless i've been looking at something else, as i really haven't noticed anything different from one scoob to another, haven taken a few rear seats out, to fit fuel pumps. If you wish to be corrected on the RA bit's and bob's, i'll direct you to a couple of sites/people who deal with these motors a lot(something which UK Subaru dealers, do not) and who can agree with what i have already said earlier. Technical knowledge is great, if it is backed up with experience, which unless you've worked on scoobs, let alone JAP scoobs, i'm afraid you won't know these things FOR SURE. You read books and think it's gospel. One person say's something and it's gospel. I'm afraid all these thing's are not true and in the case of solid rear bulkhead....pointless, if inded it DOES exist. Can't say i've seen ANY parts dealer sell alloy wings/tailgates. Care to point me in their direction, till i question them and admit to being wrong?
  10. No, just another common scooby mistake. Just like RA's have alloy wings/tailgate and thinner glass!
  11. Lol! That's such a funny thing! [] Show me a pic of it....this solid rear bulkhead. next time you have a classic uk turbo lying around park them side by side open the boots and....voila....solid rear bulkhead diagonals.....funnily identical to that of an sti4/5 4 door saloon!and totally different to that of a uk standard turbo saloon![] Amazing!!!! My old 93 RA must have been a one off then!! I'll start taking pictures of every UK turbo i have with this REMOVABLE bar. As i do bodywork for a living, i'd say a solid rear bulkhead, should be as it's described....solid and welded in, just like the thing at the front of the car, inbetween driver and engine. Do you actually work on the scoob's then and not JUST sell them, Gav?
  12. Lol! That's such a funny thing! [] Show me a pic of it....this solid rear bulkhead.
  13. ......on Ebay with only a couple hours left. Grab yourself's an absolute bargain!!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E%3AIT&rd=1
  14. Wrapped and solid. Ok you may need to re-wrap in the future, but your a bit stuffed if and when the jet coating comes off and end up wrapping anyways. Soild, as you don't need to worry about the flexi breaking up. Less restrictions in flow, too.
  15. Johnny, i know what you mean mate, but going back over the mod list on the '98, there was defo something wrong there and i'd have loved to find out what it was! At the moment, i'd say spend a bit more for a TD05 16G and ECU, OR send me a PM and i'll let you know how i got the figures i got from the RA. 320hp on Dastek's rollers, but it didn't hit full boost. The only thing else i'd say, is you want boost. You don't need anything else, as that's where the torque lies. []
  16. Sounds like the usual alternator/air con belt squeal. Not a difficult job for you. []
  17. Andy might be there?! Thought he'd be keeping the car with it's low proflie, till he's ready to race???
  18. Muppet! LOL [][]
  19. Ah ok, Chris. Cheers. 3 tanks a week!!!!!! [] I'm usually on about a tank a week!
  20. Chris, i got the impression from your previous posts, you had the car mapped with Optimax and octane booster, but had been running it not always using Optimax and no booster? It's no wonder then, the figures are down and it's detting, but i apologise in advance if i've picked you up wrong. []
  21. Very good point, David. Completely never thought about that! []
  22. What kind of player is needed for the vid's mate, as they ain't working for me?
