  1. re050, mud and snow marked ... you sure? they're basically a summer tyre, very few blocks and mainly solid tread ... mine got taken off as i know they're rubbish in cold conditions, superb till about October though. Goodyear Ultragrip 8 Performance fitted now, Bridgestones are upstairs for spring time though
  2. Just had a read of the linked thread and a bit confused of sorts, is that just an Import problem or the same with UK spec Hatch's as well?
  3. Based purely on my common sense, if you stall the turbo you've slowed the turbine speed, therefore to get back on boost you need to get the turbo spinning up again which requires exhaust gasses flowing through the turbo. This means you've got to wait for the revs to increase which in turn gets exhaust gasses flowing which then gets the turbine back up to speed and then you'll get your boost back.
  4. That will be cheaper by a long way, over 152.9 at the mo here, however if they search your car and find them they'll make you empty them before they let you on the boat :-( I always brim the tank just before getting on the boat.
  5. Yep, we've got Super. Total garages do their Excellium 97 RON and Manx Petroleums are a Shell distributor so their super unleaded 'should' be V-Power, that's what I've been filling up with anyway
  6. I'll be heading down London way in May with mine too, probably not inside the M25 though. Off to vist a few mates around the UK and popping down to see my sister in Chelmsford too so i'll probably skirt around the M25. Bit of a random tour taking in Sheffield, Leicester, Chelmsford, Tewkesbury, Newtown and then back to the boat via the Trafford Centre or Liverpool One probably. Think i'll try and go off piste where i can rather than plodding along the motorways, Tewkesbury to Newtown & then up again should be good though, hopefully get on some twisty's through Wales

  8. I've noticed that, although a few people have given me a wave. I'm in Onchan, work down the power station though so always about in it. Only been an owner since early December, haven't seen any other Blue STI Hatch's on the Island so suspect it may be the only one, not sure though. What are you driving?
  9. If you are planning a trip over I can look up some dates that there are some motorsport events on too, there's rallies every couple of weeks over here, 2 main ones though where some run WRC machinery. Loads of motorbike stuff too if you're into that as well. Local knowledge is always good for getting to sneaky spots to watch There's also a weeekend of hill climbing too. 3 different hill climbs in 3 days. 2 are on part of the TT course. Ones not really s hill climb, more just a short special stage. Provided you have right license you can take part I think
  10. New to the forum and just bought my first Impreza, just wondered if there are any active members on here that are on the Island? Chris
