  1. You can clean the element in the maf, sometimes these get bunged up with carbon, my 04 did te same thing a few weeks ago, i took it to duncan at hypertech at bonnybridge, cleaned the maf and put a new fuel filter on and it was back to normal.
  2. Awesome clips.
  3. There are to many garages out there that are more interested in your wallet than actually being interested in what you drive, Dunc and his guys were a breath of fresh air yesterday.
  4. Well after 2hrs at hypertech today my wee beast is back to normal, MAF needed cleaned and a new fuel filter, thanks again to Duncan and his boys, what a cracking bunch of guys.
  5. Guys there is a cars and chemicals day on at chemical guys in cambuslang today at 10:30, there will be demo's of there products and how to properly detail your scoobs etc, i wont be there as mine is off to hypertech today to get its fueling problem sorted.
  6. Took the blob to duncan at hypertech this morn, what a brilliant guy, he thinks i have a fueling problem but he's booked it in for a dyno run etc for 2 weeks today. So fingers crossed its nothing to expensive.
  7. Cheers guys, will go to hypertech or stevies with it. Hopefully they'l be able to get to the bottom of the problem.
  8. I need to find out whats causing my intermittent overboosting and limp mode problem.
  9. Cool thanks guys.
  10. Has anybody used these guys, any experiance with them etc. im having a few boost probs and discovered them today whilst doing a delivery, i didnt realise there was a subaru specialist so close.
  11. Yeah one of my mates recomended james alan motors in edinburgh, car sailed through, happy days.
  12. Are any of these places open on a sat and does it have to be booked in with them.
  13. Hi guys, can anybody recommend anywhere to take my newage to for an MOT in the lanarkshire area, i'm in Bellshill.
  14. The same guy that fleeced cossie (stu) with the silver blob with the red decals, i would avoid forsyth st cars like a fat burd avoiding the salad option.
  15. My 04 wrx calipers where like this, more so the front left, the pads where wearing quicker on the inside than on the outside face, replaced the calipers with sti brembos and fitted standard discs on the rears, its a lot quieter as well.
  16. Definately a good idea.
  17. Done a test fit with the discs and calipers inside the wheel, all fits without any touching of wheels and calipers, woo hoo. Ta for all the advice guys.
  18. Shame its aberdeen and im in the central belt, would def be up for learning more. We have the chemical guys uk place down here, but there only open mon-fri, dont know if they would be up doing a detailing lessons type of day.
  19. Ta for all the advice guys, yeah workshop days would be a great idea, im fairly mechanically minded but due to living in a flat i have no appropriate place to jobs that require the jacking up of the car, ie no flat ground. Im fairly sure the wheels will fit but last resort is some 5 mm spacers. My brother in laws brother is going to do them for me (AA mechanic). Fingers crossed all goes well.
  20. This is turning into a nightmare, the discs and pads that are on it are completly done, my mechanic friend has let me down twice and i need the car for work.
  21. I have a set of 18" inovite redlines that came on the car, there seems to be a lot of space between the exsisting wrx calipers and discs and the wheels themselves, no idea what the offset is, ive had a look to see if its stamped on the wheels somewhere but i dont see it.
  22. I have been let down by a mechanic friend, im now in desperate need of having to get a set of brembos fitted to the front of my 04 wrx, the question im asking does any body on here want to earn themselves some extra pennies on an easter mon, i would do it myself but as i live in a flat with comunal parking, i have nowhere to do the work and have no tools either, im in bellshill. HELP.
  23. The only view of cumbernauld is the one from the co-pilots seat of a bomber as blows the shit out of the place, it has to be the worse designed and layed out place ever.
  24. For brakes and stuff i found camskill to be reasonably priced, i have sti fronts and standard wrx rears on my 04 wrx, all new discs and pads plus hel brake lines, oh my what a diffirence, i reckon decent fluid and stainless lines are a better upgrade than people think.
  25. I had to stop today for diesel for the truck and got told by the attendant that i was limited to 150ltrs, bonkers.
