  4. i didnt like the handling and rubbing of the 18s , also slowed the car down back to 17s much much better fun
  5. gumtree seen a few sets on ebay recently about the 250 mark
  6. the speedline st2 i think they are look the same as the revos to widen your search i got a set today and they are sweet might change the colour though
  7. bit of good reading there how do you remember all that detail doing sub 10 second runs
  8. yeah speed limiters to 112 mph on the classic imports due to thier laws hence the reason the imports had lower ratio boxes than the uk versions as no reason to put a long box into a top speed of 112 as the lower box utilises faster through the gearing. ra boxes even shorter i believe folk with ra classics im told remove the speed limiters try to do any kind of distance at over 120mph have the engine revs screaming resulting in big end/crank failure. on the other side i was in a scoob years ago showing 170 on the clock scary - was a l reg 1.6 shell / engine from an ra / gearbox and diff from a legacy / 16 inch wheels. dont know how accurate speedo was with the leggy box though.
  9. yeah sorry didnt mean to gatecrash thought id catch up with yous then got stuck behind a wee triumph or something by the time it pulled in and i had a gap to get into the left lane id past some of you and had to get in amongst yous. then didnt want to hold any of you up so kept close to the cars i was following until i pulled in to the shell garage. nice wee convoy enjoyed the short blast and the women in the petrol station was chapping the window for me to turn off the engine before she would turn the pump on i showed her my keys in my hand and pointed to the road where the rest of you were driving by giving the engine noise. lol she thought i had a turbo timer - i dont lol
