A couple of months back at an Esso station in Cologne, Germany, me and my mate were parked up, me in my 2007 WRX STi and him in his Elise. A passing couple walking their dog stopped to look, or in the case of the chap, ogle, drool and compliment us on our "gile, gile autos" (translated as wicked or cool cars). Neither the Scoob or Elise are that common in Germanland (lived there for 8 years) so I always got comments and looks, especially from the youngsters who normally asked "what is it?". Can't say they'd ever called me a boy racer, unless of course it was in a local slang that I didn't understand!

Extremely bored at work so thought I'd ask a random question. How do you refer to the current 'Wales Rally GB'? I still call it the 'RAC Rally' regardless. Maybe there are some really old school types out there still calling it the 'Lombard Rally'? All answers before 1pm today please, gives me something to do and read before finishing for the weekend.

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum but not new to the wonderful world of Imprezas. Currently on my third after starting with an original 2000 Turbo, moving onto a bugeye (headlights converted to WRC!) and now well into the 5th year with my WRX STi TypeUK. Also looking for some advice/suggestions on a replacement tyre to the Bridgestone Potenza RE070 225/45R17 90W on my STi. Have never really been happy with them in wet/wintry conditions. The car is not taken on track days although they are treated in the way Impreza tyres should be treated. All and any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
