  1. I've got a 98 UK 00' turbo, I've got (what seems to be standard fit but dont know) the Prodrive seats back n front. But engine wise ect how would I know/tell without getting on the rollers.
  2. Just wondered, it's seemingly about 220 standard I think, because if it doesnt sell I'll maybe think about a wee tweak....nothing serious thought as I dont want to blow the h/g
  3. Was reading an ad on ebay for a 95 Impreza auto turbo wagon with 310hp and seemingly gets an average of 40mpg when under 2500revs....I couldnt get that on my standard manual one... **it is very good on fuel if driven economicaly i average 40mpg under 2500rpm.**
  4. I dont know hellish much about subs, but from past experience Ive never heard of having to take an engine out to do a g/box, sound as if he's at it
  5. Yes, they were the same, I just cantget it any lower anywehere, like I say, my days of being a sub owner/driver are as good as finished. It'll sit in the garage till it's sold
  6. I know what your saying, but the 550-600 for ins is a bloody killer, well it is for me. I know there good cars and I enjoy driving but 50odd quid a month just to pay Dick Turpin before I turn the bloody key to go anywhere's not on
  7. Wonder what their "other stuff" is, great how they dont tell you, or did they, even so, their still robbing lying fkrs
  8. You and balistic are probaby spot on what you say, but It's bloody crap that a car that's older than newer models get a more tarnished (for want of a better word) than the classics. You mention alarms, I was asked what I had on mine and if it had a tracker (Ive got both), a Clifford concept 50 which I believe at the time (maybe still by todays standards I dont know) was top notch. But even with that and the tracker has made fk all diffirence. Then again, maybe if I tried a quote without eiher I'd sh*t myself. What Ive found though when out in it, it's probably the exhaust note ie the boxer (standard though) it still some turns some heads, especially neds/chavs. And I guess that's a perfect fkn excuse the Dick Turpin & co to shaft us even harder
  9. Oh i know, i just wanted to try a higher priced car, even my 2 relatives, 1 who has an 07 mx5 the other has an 09 saab 95 (2ltr but not sure model) and they both pay more/less what pay (well its cancelled). Obviously for some reason the impreza turbo is still classed as a high performance car even though there's other cars with more hp ect ect and lower ins. It's just crap!..... like i say, it really does look like my experience with sub (well a turbo anyway) is short lived
  10. Just for the hell of it I put this in Compare the market for a quote..and it back cheaper than the Impreza turbo...ffs! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201117385614376/sort/locasc/usedcars/fuel-type/diesel/model/impreza/make/subaru/radius/1500/page/1/postcode/pa26sf?logcode=p
  11. Cheers Scot, thought I'd have had more replies though
  12. It's bad Scot isnt it, it's as if they just take you money then fk you....then again, I s'pose that's what they did!... Like I say, if anyone's about to use them, read this first!
  13. Yes I did some "homework", but not much, I knew about mpg, servicing ect having had the MR2 turbo and T5s. When I got the quote from Insure the box (see above post, well it'll below after I reply here), no wonder they were cheap (ish) as they wanted to fit that bloody telematics (spy in the cab in other words) I thought fk that!. I then got a few other quotes from Confused, Tiger ect, but even after a week or so, they had gone up again!!, so much for quotes being valid for a month!. I got one the other night from 1st Central but was 550 (f/c), I was talking to her about it too, we both said fk that!. I was kind of prepared to sell both the Pug diesel est and bike and have just this...but then thought nope, its not worth it (imo). Dont get wrong, I really do it, but it's one thing having rip off fuel prices (it's half in the States to what it is here (robbing lying c*nts!), I'm quite sure they could take a quid or 2 off it here AND still rip us off but they just wont....pr*cks!. Without sky high insurance too, it's no wonder people are leaving here, this place IS fkd fact!
  14. I stupidly did!....they dont answer emails (Ive sent 4!) tried phoning 4 times, each time I'm left holding up to hour!, I then finaly got a someone phoning me back and said "dont worry I'll contact them (customer service) and get them to phone you and sort things out"....that was dam near a week ago!!. Ive now send them a recorded letter to cancel things, and cancelled the direc debut its the only way I think they'll get anything. If anyone has used them, you'll how bad their "customer service" is....if you havent...dont!!
  15. As I'm very pissed off paying over £500 for fkn ins despite being 47 with 8yr n/c and a good p/code, Ive had a couple of fast'ish cars ie MR2 turbo, T5 (2) and yet this fkn thing beats them all ins wise!! I know it was suggested trying Keith Michaels (which I did)....no chance....nearly £650!, the best I got was from 1st central at £550 (this is all f/c). No enough's enough....I think my days with a Sub are numbered, well with an impreza turbo anyway....fkrs
  16. i know that sounds daft but according this...mine isnt it what it seems Mine's a 98' 2ltr turbo wagon with an EJ20?? engine and vin number strarting in GF8KD but according the info think link, the year code I should be E=MY98. The G,F and 8 make sense, but not the KD.....anyone know? Also according to the link mine (at that year, if I'm reading right) should have 280hp but according to what ive read elswhere its only seemingly 215....what's going on? http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html
  17. I s'pose Dont know, it's at 112000 so I would think it'll be on an original replacement or something else Must be as it's when I lift the pedal at the bite it does it.....it's just had the big service
  18. I dont pull away at high revs, its about 1500ish I do it, that's when it's jerky but only when cold, but notice you it's common for it to be jerky when cold....why? I also dont drive hard when cold, never have, infact I dont drive hard at all! As said above....I dont pull away at hight revs... You say the title was to vague.....maybe, but it got plenty of views but only you two replying..
  19. I guess I'm used to faster moving forums I guess I'm to used to "normal" cars where I can pull away at these revs, it just seems strange though, it does it when cold but at the same revs when warm it's fine
  20. 35 views and no onw knows.....oh well
  21. 1....what colour are 98' Impreza turbo wagon clocks meant to be....ie white or black? 2....What causes a jerky clutch on take off between 1500-2000k when engine's cold....but fine when warm
