  1. Hi Kyle and welcome.

All the above advice is good. ? I would only add that if you are looking for a WRX I would be looking for an unmodified one. There are many WRX's out there that have had bits bolted on to give them STI levels of power on the WRX internals. Looks good for 10 minutes but often costs more later on. If you are wanting a little bit more power then look for an STI instead.

    I guess you're not a young man?

Alas I am now past the 40 mark ? and have 15 years no claims.

I'm in Nottingham and my postcode says I am in the City boundary, if I moved 3 miles down the road the premium is 40% lower, its crazy. Its a good job I love the car so much.

but isn't it time VED was abolished and replaced with extra fuel duty (or at least a discount on V- Power!!).

I used to agree wit the idea that it should be added to the fuel so the more miles you do the more you pay, it makes complete sense. What does complicate this in the current climate is that as more people go electric they wouldn't be buying the fuel so the government would need to fill that void with some other bonkers scheme.

  4. I love the snow, as a Subaru owner you tend to be one of the only few on the road ?

The problem I have found with the newer cars is everything is electric, traction control, stability control and alike,  you simply don’t ‘feel’ what’s underneath you. The old scoob which sometimes gets uncomfortable gives great feel and feedback which makes it a joy to drive in the snow. I should really try it with winter tyres one day ?

  5. OK folks, does anyone want to go to Spring Action Day at Castle Combe on the 30th March?

We haven't booked anything yet but if we get enough interest I can get us booked in and sort a club stand etc...

We will need to know in the next couple of weeks to give us time to sort things out.

  6. I would say the value will go up especially as the older cars are beginning to disappear through rot and rust and there are no new ones coming in, there will be a time when the Subaru enthusiast will looking for the saloon. The hatch has already started becoming popular and there more of them.

You planning on selling? Or simply curious?
