I hope this is a true story ?

With only a handful of oil manufacturers in the world is it worth paying the extras for expensive oil? Are you just paying for a Brand? Would you use oil from Amazon?

I am currently speaking with Hiscox Specialist Insurance to get a discount for the club. It will interesting to see if they can reduce my premium.

I guess you're not a young man?
Alas I am now past the 40 mark ? and have 15 years no claims.
I'm in Nottingham and my postcode says I am in the City boundary, if I moved 3 miles down the road the premium is 40% lower, its crazy. Its a good job I love the car so much.

Wow, I pay nearly £1000 for just the Impreza ? but then I do live in the supposed gun capital of the UK ?

but isn't it time VED was abolished and replaced with extra fuel duty (or at least a discount on V- Power!!).
I used to agree wit the idea that it should be added to the fuel so the more miles you do the more you pay, it makes complete sense. What does complicate this in the current climate is that as more people go electric they wouldn't be buying the fuel so the government would need to fill that void with some other bonkers scheme.

I can’t believe we’ve still had no snow here in the midlands. I was looking forward to some great pics of the scoob in the snow. Anyone been luckier? Got some scoob snow pics?
-
I love the snow, as a Subaru owner you tend to be one of the only few on the road ?
The problem I have found with the newer cars is everything is electric, traction control, stability control and alike, you simply don’t ‘feel’ what’s underneath you. The old scoob which sometimes gets uncomfortable gives great feel and feedback which makes it a joy to drive in the snow. I should really try it with winter tyres one day ?

Very sad news. RIP Chris.

I never run the DCCD in auto (unless I forget) I wind it all the way back to have a rear bias which isn't really noticeable in the dry because of the amount of grip but once it gets slippy you get some nice oversteer which is great fun ?

OK folks, does anyone want to go to Spring Action Day at Castle Combe on the 30th March?
We haven't booked anything yet but if we get enough interest I can get us booked in and sort a club stand etc...
We will need to know in the next couple of weeks to give us time to sort things out.

Hi Anthony, welcome to the forums, keep an eye on the events calendar and we hope to see you soon. ? Any pics? We all love to see Subaru’s
-
Very nice, looks like it was always meant to be there. ?

I assume your Impreza has no alarm? I haven’t looked at car alarms for years and the ones I would have gone to back in the day were Clifford and Toad but Viper do a range that will work with your car IIRC
-
Wow 265 tyres ?
-
Did you get these in the end?
-
Oopos just realised I misread the original post and I was talking about the 2011 WRX STI ?
-
I would say the value will go up especially as the older cars are beginning to disappear through rot and rust and there are no new ones coming in, there will be a time when the Subaru enthusiast will looking for the saloon. The hatch has already started becoming popular and there more of them.
You planning on selling? Or simply curious?

Looks great ?
Slightly tweaked? Crazy or subtle?

Hi Kyle and welcome.
All the above advice is good. ? I would only add that if you are looking for a WRX I would be looking for an unmodified one. There are many WRX's out there that have had bits bolted on to give them STI levels of power on the WRX internals. Looks good for 10 minutes but often costs more later on. If you are wanting a little bit more power then look for an STI instead.
