Friend of mine is selling his classic (N reg I think) Impreza and is pestering me, in a good way lol, to buy it from him. He loves to boast that it was at one point owned by Mcrae Motorsports (he actually just tells people it was "Colin Mcrae's runaround..") and therefore I think he thinks that it's worth a premium over a similar, non-mcrae, car. AFAIK, it's pretty much standard/unmodified and it is admittedly quite tidy, but it's still in my opinion, just another Classic Impreza and not worth any more.
So basically I'm just wondering what is Mcrae Motorsports and what is the probable role that the cars played there?
- Company car for one of the employees
- Courtesy car for customers
- Test car for product development
- Something else completely!
Thanks
