  1. Awesome, Cheers. Thanks for the response, I actually read further into this and Apparently, The classic at least has something called a hill-master clutch designed to do hill starts better. I read that in the workshop manual. Have made a slight adjustment to mine based upon the manual. Glad to hear the clutch lasts well though. Cheers
  2. And just to add to this, The bite point isn't particularly firm, you can't really feel it, The car pulls bit there is no 'point' as such. Hard to explain.
  3. Hey, I own a 1998 impreza wagon. I haven't had much experience in different cars but the clutch seems a little strange. The bite point is very high up and there is miles of space where there seems to be no reaction. I have asked the opinion of a couple of other people who had a go and they agreed. Does anyone know if the clutch on this car is just like this or could there be a cause for it? I can see the clutch linkage in the engine bay but didn't want to mess about with it if this is just standard for a car like this. Cheers -Dave
  4. thanks guys for your feedback. Yeah, I would agree that making a Subaru look rubbish with a body kit wouldn't be good. But I definitely do want to make it look a bit nicer, I mean, if I'm driving around, I don't want my car to look rubbish, I just want to bring out the gorgeous rally pedigree of the car a bit, definitely keep the shape as much as possible. I will look on eBay for a manual. Cheers for the heads up, I will also check out the ABW kits you mentioned. I tell you what, I haven't been home really since my last post, I totally love driving my car. It's such a comfortable car to drive, and it's got some poke as well. Subarus are pretty damn awesome. This car makes the best first impressions.
  5. oh, and I have read that haynes don't make a manual for the impreza, What should I do about taking my car apart? I don't really want to do it unless I have some sort of rough guide. does anyone make a manual?
  6. Hello, Just thought I would say Hi, I purchased a 1999 Subaru impreza wagon as my first car and just wanted to say hello, I will be joining the club as soon as I have some cash. I actually had a couple of questions. firstly, Would it be considered as weird or stupid to put a body kit on a GL 2.0 Subaru without any turbos. i.e would I be laughed out of the room, Would it be better to wait until I can afford a turbo'd wrx subaru. I just really want to make the car look a bit meaner. secondly, If it's not so weird, does anyone know anywhere good for body kits, the only place I have found that does bodykits for the wagon variant is http://www.htautos.co.uk/11.html but I also need to find somehwere that does a good respray and if I don't do it myself, fitting of the bodykit. Anyone know anywhere? Thanks -Dave
