  1. I went to have the "NEW" plate checked and stamped at a MOT centre cost me £2.00p face-icon-small-happy.gif gave him a £8.00p tip face-icon-small-wink.gif leave the dust to settle and the small one will be back on face-icon-small-wink.gif

He said one young lad has the "Playboy" bunny emblem on the side of his plate. He has been stopped twice Police they say it's illegal face-icon-small-sad.gif but it passes MOT standards face-icon-small-smile.gif with it on and Police are unhappy with Lad and MOT's face-icon-small-shocked.gif the lad just keeps paying the £2.00p face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

  2. Well I was stopped by Traffic Police Saturday morning, in the middle of Worcester City centre. Blocking up one lane in a small two lane road, causing terrible conjestion face-icon-small-sad.gif

I asked what was the Problem, had I ran a red light, used a bus lane, Speeding face-icon-small-blush.gif he said "No Sir" please get out of the car "We having a major crackdown on illegal Number plates and yours front one is Toooooooo small"

With his police car flashing blue lights behind my car, he starts filling in forms, over half an hour has past  But now his can cross a Subaru off his list of 'Get's' I'm extremely polite give all the required Documents the young keen policeman(Brum), who happens to be into cars, even owns a 240bhp 200SX and even reckons seen my car in a car mag. I would say to the 'Older' Policeman(Worcs) with him seemed very nice face-icon-small-happy.gif I think he was baby sitting

I would like to apologise to the People of Worcester, for the Traffic jam, the spate of minor accidents and victims of roadrage caused by my small number Plate, sorry. If I'd have known it was possible to cause so much havoc having a small Numberplate would never have fitted one face-icon-small-wink.gif I'm glad the Police showed me the errors of my ways and now the roads are much safer face-icon-small-confused.gif

  3. My insurance on MY02STi7 PPP'd & PHP is due . L&V reminder came throught the Post a week or two back.

I'm an old git 48, one sp30 in 23years, all Mods are noted on Insurance Certificate, with L&V, cost me an extra £16.80p though face-icon-small-wink.gif as I wasn't happy with Mods being held only on their computor files. The renewal cost £738 face-icon-small-happy.gif

I got a quote from Tesco's their's was £1302 they said it would still have been £1000 without Mods face-icon-small-frown.gif

    Isn't insurance a funny old game face-icon-small-sad.gif

  4. I haven't done either personally, I have heard The Don Palmer days are really good face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif also "the wetter the better days"

These are driving courses and you will learn alot about your cars handling face-icon-small-happy.gif and more about your Driving technique face-icon-small-cool.gif or lack of it ,in my case

Prodrive Live is enjoyable but more of an experience face-icon-small-wink.gif not so much a training course . But if you can get on a Corperate day they do Rally Group "N",wet weather on Sid pan, and high speed training. Very good Host aswell.

All the Ferrarri, Porsche etc. day are "Car" experiences and not so much Training face-icon-small-wink.gif Silverstone has Racing driving school, quite expensive but very good face-icon-small-happy.gif

  5. jhrcfc,

I am with L&V face-icon-small-wink.gif as I was told before PPP'd that no extra charge for PPP on my STi7 and rang up after PPP'd and asked again the man asked what it comprised of and what possible gains "Hold on sir,I will speak to the underwriter" confirmed "'No extra charge sir, as Optional extra" face-icon-small-cool.gif

A month or so later, there was a hint on Scoobynet this might be a bit Dodgy face-icon-small-confused.gif IF a claim were to be made, so get it in writting face-icon-small-happy.gif

I rang back that day and was again told 'No extra charge sir, as Optional extra'. I then said "but there is NO mention of PPP on my Insurance Certificate face-icon-small-shocked.gif" Can you please put it on and I will be happy face-icon-small-happy.gif "Hold on sir,I will speak to underwriter again" he then came back and asked what PPP comprised of and what possible gains Then said "We will charge you for, ECU & Exhaust 15% power gains, that will be £16:80p and the Certificate is in the Post" face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-happy.gif

    Tony IMHO AFAIR etc.

    Ps

If it ain't on the Certificate, it ain't covered face-icon-small-disgusted.gif maybe a get out clause when a big claim Pops up face-icon-small-mad.gif
