About scoobydoobs

  1. Yep, thanks, that's what I have from eStyling, so i've ordered some H7 from PowerBulbs.
  2. Thanks, but that only lists the standard light fittings as far as I can see, not the morettes. The bug eyes were the first thing I ditched
  3. Did this topic ever get a reply?? I need to get some new bulbs for the dipped beam in my bugeye morettes. Am I right to think the dipped are H1 and the mains are H7? Updated: eStyling have a good reference for bugeye morettes, and it seems i had them the wrong way round, H7 is the dipped, H1 the main.
  4. Had some trouble with the one in Horsham, a long time ago now. Might be worth giving them another chance then...
  5. I had a system fitted by Torque Systems a couple of years ago, and they really made a dog's breakfast of it. I've been meaning to get it sorted for a while, and am finally getting round to it as it's started cutting out on me too now. Anyone know of anyone good in the Surrey/West Sussex area (Dorking/Gatwick sort of ballpark) who could sort it out for me? I don't want to end up at Road Radio...
  6. This is becoming a bit of a headache... I sourced these Angel Eyes from the US, and asked whether they'd be road legal in the UK, and was told they would be, it's just a matter of adjusting them for a RHD car. I'm now not so sure. Although they have no pattern on the lenses, is there another way they would be limited to use on LHD cars? Basically, does anyone know if the US and UK Angel Eye light are different? Will they make me fail the MOT? The two places in the UK that claim to supply Angel Eyes for a bugeye are subaru.org.uk (seems to have died) and essex racing (don't stock them any more despite what's on their website), so if I can't get these to work i'm stuffed, no way i'm going back to the standard lights, i'd rather torch the whole thing! Also, it looks like I need a new grill if I fit these too, as the morettes include the plastic bit that's on the ends of the standard grill. I'd love to keep the morettes, but it looks like I might have difficultly replacing them for less than a fortune, and parts seem hard to come by now. If anyone can help i'd be massively grateful, i'm tempted to find out how much my local scoob dealer would offer me part-ex for it as-is, but I really can't afford that option!
  7. I've just got some angel eyes for my bugeye, but they didn't come with fitting instructions. Does anyone have any to hand? It doesn't look like it'll be too hard, but better to be safe than sorry!
  8. I have been with Greenlight insurance (based in Essex) since getting my first import (an FTO) in 1997. They've always been brilliant, and I have had to claim through them, and had no problems. They have no problems with imports or mods. They're also far far cheaper than anyone else I've found for me, I currently pay about £500 fully comp for my 2001 WRX PPP, but that is with a lot of NCB. Mind you, I haven't felt the need to shop around for a few years, I hope they're still competitive!
  9. Well, still no reply from subaru.org.uk, so I guess I have to assume the guy's no longer trading, and go to Essex Racing instead...
  10. Does anyone know where I can get replacement glass for one of rhte lights in my Morettes (2001 bugeye)? I don't want to have to replace the whole headlight (probably would need to get a new pair) when it's just one piece of glass that's broken, but I can't find any on t'internet...
  11. Hi, I've got a bug eye with broken Morettes, so i'm looking to replace them, and liked the look of the Angel Eye lights. Anyone got any comments about them, or about subaru.org.uk where i've found them. I can't be sure if they're trading any more, all the visible dates on their site are quite a long time ago. Cheers,
