Thnx for the confidence m8 , just got back from meercat after getting the sports cat downpipe and yeah i went for it, a meercat up pipe as well, already have a straight through centre section. The work they have done is really high quality, well impressed and would definately recommend them , However there is now a CEL popped up saying system is too lean but didnt come up on journey home it popped up after I went back out to get petrol, have been driving car totally off boost. I am guessing this is just a tuning issue that will hopefully be sorted by Andy F tommorrow. Cheers Stevie

Sorry for late reply not long back from holidays, got mine sorted with a standard 90 degree elbow from motac in stirling, they have quite a selection of bends and straights as well as reducers I am sure I saw. Just cut to size and tightened down as hard as I could and so far fingers crossed its holding up ok

Hi all, First the good news is car booked into andy f on 18th yippee, now the bad news, ordered a sports cat downpipe from cobra sport exhaust, went to fit it and found it didn't fit was about an inch too low to connect onto centre section, they arranged collection and just heard back that it fitted no probs to their car, I am sure it's not a problem with my car as about a year ago I got a cheap Subaru downpipe cat of another hawkeye from fleabay and it fitted perfectly. Are all newage impreza 01 to 07 downpipes and 2nd cats the same size? Looked at Hayward and Scott for a downpipe but they are a wee bit pricey for me and kinda wary of buying another downpipe and that not fitting either, and time running out before re map, not sure what to do. Cheers Stevie

the hose is 5mm ID and 10mm OD and is a nice tight push on fit, here is the link to it:- http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165660 they also do a larger size which is 8mm ID

I may have posted something similiar a while ago here but kinda need advice on a samco turbo hose kit, the reason I am looking is the red elbow from turbow outlet to intercooler is badly chewed away at the ends and its a pita to get it to seal and only lasts so long and u hear the air leaking out on boost . I am not sure if there is an exact kit for my car a MY06 STi that has the all metal piping underneath intercooler without the gap that had to be replaced with another piece of hosing. The kits I have looked at is the tcs332 which says its for a 2.5 wrx 06 on but the image shows hoses completely diff from what i need so I am guessing the wrx intercooler underneath is diff from mine, the other kit is the tcs209 that that says its for a 2.0/2.5 and has the elbow but this kit included the hose for the split in the metal piping but would that elbow fit?, other option is just to source a 90 degree bend and cut to suit i guess. Anyone ever had to replace that red elbow hose on a 06 sti? Stevie

ahh my fault didnt notice andy had posted the group buy dates, will contact andy nearer the time when car is available to book in cheers Stevie
-
I would really like to get in on this group buy however I wont be able to get the car booked in until august or very end of july, how long does the group buy extend?, another wee query is I still have the subaru cat downpipe fitted but replaced all from cat back and fitted foam air filter, would I see a great improvement having a remap with the restrictive cat in place? not really got the cash at the moment to replace downpipe as well. cheers Stevie

ahh cool, might just give him the car and get it removed then and be done with the annyoing rattle lol, thnx for the reply m8. Stevie
-
Hiya, been getting a really annoying rattle and located it to the up pipe heat shield totally adrfit from the exhaust, took it down to local garage and got it up on ramps and from what it looks like is the top half is adrift but the bottom half is ok. The up pipe would have to be removed to get it welded properly and tbh that looks an absolute nightmare with no room whatsover around it, he said if i left it with him he would persevere and remove the heatshield which would solve the rattle however what concerns me is the extra heat that would be picked up by the engine and possibly roast oil seals which i dont want, or possibly removing the heatshield will have very litte effect to temperature, wondering if any of you guys have had this problem and either removed heatshield or removed up pipe for proper repair. cheers, Stevie
