I am just looking at advertising my standard Hawkeye WRX wheels but need some info for them. What is the offset and (I think this is right) the PCD. Will they only fit an Impreza WRX or will they go on any others too? Thanks Ian

Ah right, so I have to pay £20 to sell, but then wont have any use of the £20 spent. Considering what I have to sell and the amount I would ask then its hardly worth it, such a shame really cos I would rather someone get some use rather than just throwing the stuff away, o well, not to worry.

I am selling my Hawkeye WRX and have a few bits and bobs going spare for it that I now no longer need. I posted these in the general forum last night for sale asking a moderator to move it to the sale forum as I didnt have the required 50 posts to allow me to start a new 'for sale' thread, but this has now been deleted and removed. Can someone advise me of a moderator to email to hopefully get my thread reinstated and put into the correct section, or would someone be willing to put them into the for sale section on my behalf. I only have a few bits but they might be of some use to someone and I find it hard to believe the mods took the action they did, I am not looking to make millions and rip people off, just get rid of the spares I have from Scoobie ownership but in a way that may help someone else. Just a quick question for you guys with both the STi and the 330S, what are the good points of the relevant stereos, mainly, are they able to control an iPod? Is the touch screen one in the 330S a CD player too? Looking forward to hearing more about either. Also, is anyone in or around either the Dunfermline or Aberdeen with an STi or 330S areas and wouldnt mind meeting up for a chat about them and a good look around etc? Ian

Yep, that was me, sorely tempted with the black STi, but the white 330S was nice also, decisions decisions.

Hi all, I am exploring the possibilities of swapping my WRX (hawkeye) for a newer Hatch STi but not sure which way to go. Today I had a look at a nice 330S and loved the way the car felt to drive, but I am aware that the normal STi can be a few grand cheaper. I am just looking for peoples thoughts on whether to save a few more pennies and look to get the 330S or whether the normal STi is not too different in the real world. Of course I could always get the PPP fitted if I decide to if/when I want the additional power. Appreciate anyones thoughts on this, thanks guys.

Hi Lewis, No problem with taking some shots of your car when you get it, what are you getting? As for being in Aberdeen, dont work there anymore, but have no problem in popping up to shoot, especially if you can get a few more peeps along and make it a multi car thing. Just let me know when is good.

And another from today, more side on, made up of 2 images merged together due to the effects of the polariser filter. Now that I have the poles sorted I will be doing more, with a CLEAN car. If anyone wants some done of theirs just let me know and we can arrange something.

I have a Hayward and Scott decat front pipe and straight through centre section and a Prodrive back box that I will be looking to fit soon, when a mate lends me his ramps and jack. I am also looking for either an STi spoiler or possibly a Prodrive one, the high level single one with bent down ends. Am also thinking about the front lip spoiler although with the roads around Edinburgh I am not sure this would be too good an idea. When I have the spare cash I want to get the car remapped at Andy Forest, need a job first though, currently looking.

Hi Lewis, I have a suction cup rig setup that I attach to the car then stick the camera at the end of the poles. Thats the easy part, I then have to process the photo in Photoshop to remove the rig equipment and any subsequent reflections/shadows. This was just a trial of a new pole I recently bought, for an actual shoot I would have someone in the car driving. That shot was taken at walking pace with my wife pushing from behind and trying to hide. Hi all, a quick favour for this wekend if possible. Due to my wifes Forrester going to the bodyshop for some accident damage repair I might need some roof bars for my Hawkeye WRX, I have to transport 2 kids bikes and might not have the Forrester back (which we do have some roof bars for) and so I was wondering if anyone on here from the Edinburgh area might be able to loan me some roof bars that will fit a Hawkeye Impreza. We have the bike holders but no bars that will fit the Impreza. I would be very gratefull, as would the kids, if anyone were able to loan me them. This may not be an issue as we may get the car back in time. Thanks all, Ian

Has anyone ever bought anything from this place, I see they have a few spoilers but no further details, ie, for which car, fit, etc, also, anyone know if the online auctions are collection only, delivery, or anything else? Any help would be cool, as I am looking for an STi spoiler for my black Hawkeye

Any chance of any pics of the car, I have a black hawkeye and pondering the idea of the decals too but wanting to see what its like first. Used to work in Dyce (Bristows) and used to see a blue decaled bugeye a lot, but never a black hawkeye.

Does anyone have or know someone with a replica decaled Impreza in or around the Edinburgh area, if so I would be interested to find out who. I have seen a blue Hawkeye around Leith Walk in Edinburgh and looks stunning. Any help would be massively appreciated. I was able to find, through various web searches, that the reg is correct for a big white van, and that it is currently insured, so that has satisfied my suspicions, I will now let the Police do their stuff.

I would just like to thank the scrote who drove his van into my wifes car (a Forrester) and then drove off without stopping. This happened 3 days ago and was only discovered this morning when she went out to the car to go to an important meeting in Cumbria. On the plus side, there was a nice couple walking by who witnessed the incident and so did the decent thing, took the reg number and left us a note under the windscreen wiper leaving the other vehicles details as well as their own details so we contact them if needs be. I have already been to the police who took the initial report and will get someone to come round to have a look at the damage and take the full statement, maybe even taking paint samples, apparently. I have never been in this situation before so I trust they will do all this and fully investigate as surely its a case of leaving the scene of the accident etc. Does anyone know of a way for us to track the reg number of the other vehicle, NOT for me to act as a vigilante, but just to confirm the details are correct etc.

Plenty in 2 of my local 3 Shell stations, non in Abbeyhill, plenty in the seafield road and ferry road stations (roads may be wrong but hope people get the idea). Hope it doesnt all run out.

Thanks Frank, might be convinced on this after seeing this clip. Thanks to all who replied too, there will be some modding and poss a remap coming soon so will seriously think about changing to shell, the sooner the better i think.

Hi all, I have searched on here and found no difinitive answer, so thought I would just ask. What petrol should I use in my car, a 56 plate Hawkeye WRX (2.5 engine). There is a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler door that states that only 95 Ron petrol is to be used, which would mean only normal unleaded, but it seems a lot of people recomend the use of V power or Tesco 99 Ron. Do I need to heed the advice of this sticker, or would I get any benifit from using the higher grade petrols? Thanks to anyone who can unconfuse me. Ian

Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone can tell me if the exhausts are the same for all newage models. How many cats are there on the 3 different models, I have read 3 in most cases. But are the 2L and 2.5L engines the same and have the same set ups? If I were to get a decat pipe, centre section or backbox that was fitted to a blobeye would they all fit onto my hawkeye with it being a 2.5? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information out and about and it seems it could all be a minefield with no easy way through. How easy are the 3 sections to fit, either independantly of each other, or the entire 3 sections? Hope someone can help.

Hi all, I have had my Hawkeye for about 6 weeks now and always notice that the exhaust kicks out a lot of visible gas, not any particular colour, but I can see it in my rear view mirror when stationary. Is this normal or indicative of anything? Hopefully its not a problem, although it did pass the emmisions part of the MOT recently, and went through a service with nothing mentioned. Over the Xmas period while showing off my new car my brother noticed that someone had keyed my bonnet, 2 lateral and 1 longitudinal scratches about 12 inches each, only look to be down to the primer as no bare metal is visible. I have only had the car for just over a month and hadn't noticed them myself, so have no idea where or when they were done, but I am far from happy. I have tried some polish on them, but although this has smothed the scratches so they are hardly able to be felt, they are still there and highly visible. Can anyone recommend me somewhere near the Edinburgh area that I can go to to get them sorted out and hopefully have the scratches removed in as good but affordable way as possible. Never had anyone do this sort of thing to me before so I wouldnt know how to go about finding somewhere to sort them, or even where to look, is it as simple as contacting a general bodyshop or something more specialised? Hope someone can help me, cheers all.
