  1. Does anyone know a good scooby mechanic in East London?
  2. Hi All, Hope you are all well... I have finally bought a stunning 03STI and it blow my mind away in every way... barring the standard speakers... They are sooooooooo bad that it actually hurts my ears to listen to any music. I have looked at various posts for information, but unfortunately they seem to confuse matter furthur... So if i want to remove the standard crap and replace it, what sizes would fit (preferably without spacers). Front Size? Rear Size? 'In Phase', make thin shallow speakers... Would these fit directly in the front doors? http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-...-1c_p-25625.htm I am looking to change; Front speakers with components (amped up ) Rear speakers Sub and Amp Does anyone have personal experience with 'InPhase' equiptment?? Good or Bad?? Many thanks for all your help; J
  3. Hi again, How much does it cost to buy a cat for my exhaust? Does anyone know where I can get one? Cheers again, J
  4. Hi All, I am a returning newbie... I have finally sold my car and am thinking of buying the following; http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1676035.htm I would really appreciate some advise on whether or not yo buy this car... The guy has only owned it for 8 months, but wants to sell to buy a house for him and his misses who is expecting. The scobby has a de-cat exhaust system and he doesn't have the cat... He wants £8.5k. What do you all think? Buy or not to buy? Thanks, J
  5. I did really like the wr1, but it seems to be over my budget of 11k.
  6. I completely agree with you regards to insurance! I am 25 with 3 years ncb, and my quote for a type uk was £1080, whereas my quote for a jdm was £1750! So, for a few advantages I have decided to get a 05 plate blobeye scooby! Cheers to all!!
  7. Thanks guys! I do have a bad habbit of buying on impulse, but this one is going to be done right! cheers J
  8. Cheers mate, I will make sure to ask all the necessary questions! From a 330ci to a sti seems like a massive step, but I am sure it will be well worth everything! Thanks again, J
  9. Quality advice Mr Ace. Greatly appreciated. I will hold you up on that offer when I finally pick one up (hopefully sooner rather than later). The only think that really scared me about the Jap motors, is that the 'lack of underseals'. How detrimental can this be?
  10. Thanks woodcote, that was really helpful.
  11. Any ideas on which version to get? Uk type or jap?
  12. Hi All, I am new to this forum so please let me know if I am doing anything wrong. I have finally made my mind up to buy a 2003-2005 blobeyed STI. My budget is £10k. My questions are; 1. Should I get a Import version or a UK Version. I know that there are a few additional feature on the Jap versions, but from what I have read, servicing through Subaru itself could be a problem? What would you guys recommend? 2. I know that £10K is a tight budget (can be extended to £11K), but is it possible to pick up a nice, quality car for £10k? The main things that I am looking for is low mileage (<60k), FSH, PPP etc.. (Probably what all of you would want/look for in a car!) Let me know if I have missed anything out, that I should look out for. My EDP (estimate date of purchase) is mid December/early Jan. Well, as soon as I sell my BMW 320CI. Cheers, J
