  1. Scooby Projects 3rd Annual Open Day 23rd June 2012 Everyone is welcome, BRD (Bob Rawle) will be here mapping and on hand to discuss mapping related enquiries. The Team @ SP will also be on hand if you would like to have a chat. Starts 10am until late Burger Van will be here also, Hopefully we may see a few of you there, Sorry for the short notice, Cheers, Keith @ SP
  2. Hi Andy, I think we need to have a discussion around this matey before you continue with this. Thanks, Keith
  3. Just to let you all know that CPA are no longer associated with Scooby Projects and haven't been since early last year. Please check the website About Us for our associated companies.
  4. Go for it Ben! And Big 'D' Bob was telling me about your VF35's, singing your praises he was. Very good work there, I've told Ben to ask you to do the work on his VF35 as he has no time, lol. Do you think you could push them to 400BHP? Cheers, Keith
  5. Final weekly bump, things are moving along now and we have a raffle sorted for some nice bits See you all here. Keith

  7. That sounds like good fun, lol. Final prep is taking place next week, so that we are ready for everyone. I think it's going to be a long week ;-) Keith
  8. Thanks Ed, Just got back from Chatsworth Rally Show, so sorry for the delay in responding. Keith
  9. Guys/Gals, Now that the weather seems to have changed for the better I have looked at the show calendars etc and found that we can plan for the official Scooby Projects Open Day. This will be held at the New Workshop in Ledbury on Saturday June 26th 2010. So far we have managed thanks to ClareB4 to have a gas BBQ for lunch, although we need somebody to volunteer for BBQ duties ;-) At this moment in time there is nothing special planned, so if you have any good ideas let me know and I will see what I can do. But the main point of this really is to obviously promote the business and new workshop along with provide hopefully some helpful banter between fellow Subaru enthusiasts. I may also run some sort of charity thing to support a local charity in the community so be warned, lol. Anyway if you can make it, put your name down so we have an idea of numbers. Finally we will provide some food and try to cater for all, but if you have any special dietry requirements your more than welcome to bring along your own food. Cheers and hopefully see you there, Keith

  14. Just for comparision purposes here are details of our stroker kits, so that you guys have all the information available to you when looking at these kits. And therefore you can make a more informed choice. So what do you get: Set of Mahle competition forged racing pistons (POWER PACK PLUS) These pistons were new to our range last year and have been tried and tested by some serious engine builders, pushing the limits of reliability and have reached over 750BHP with this exact piston! The Mahle brand are well known for there piston technology and in this case they have used their knowledge from F1 engines to produce a piston with some unique features Forged from a low silicon alloy 2618 material and uses a 3 1/2 to 4 Thou running clearance For higher BHP the clearance is increased upto an extra 1 Thou, this extra is for major BHP seekers Very light weight at only 354 grams each Low friction wasted skirt and coated for high RPM reliability Pressure balance groove below top ring, designed to balance the pressure on the top compression ring and there for restricting blow by and power loss Forced Gudgeon pin lubrication via the oil ring drain holes, keeping the pin well oiled and cooled. This is essential for major BHP Suitable for NOS These forged Mahle pistons along with the Cometic gaskets we can supply will go to 750BHP and more, depending on the crank/rods and head bolts used and more importantly the fueling and ignition timing etc Manley 'H' Section Conrods The Manley rods are 'H' section chrome-moly steel and are a matched set, as used by many drag racers in the USA because they meet or exceed competition regulations. Fully balanced end to end and supplied with ARP bolts, total weight 525 grams 3/8 ARP rod bolts are used on these rods for maximum strength, some rods use a 5/16 bolt which is a potential failure. Standard length rods and a perfect addition to our uprated crankshaft and Mahle pistons above. These rods have been used in EJ20's with 720BHP with total reliability. Can also be used with EJ25 engines. STI 9 Nitrided Crank and ACL Competition Spec Bearings A brand new cranckshaft and race spec competition lead copper main and big end bearings. The crankshaft has been Nitrided for strength and durability, also cross drilled on the main bearing journals which allows more oil flow to the big end bearings. Important for high BHP engine, this helps to stop the bearings from overheating and failing and combat oil loss at higher RPM. These cranks are used as standard in the EJ207 Version 9 Spec C Twin Scroll engines The crankshaft is standard size, as are the bearings. The modifications on the crank are from the Factory so it is all it OM Specification and guaranteed to handle 500BHP + more!! Finally, ours is the std length rod system so the rod angle is well within the boundaries for high RPM. Some stroker kits use a shorter 2mm rod to keep the same compression height. A short rod has more angle at 90deg and will have to work harder as well as the piston being pushed sideways into the bore. The last thing on all this is the longer rod will keep the piston at TDC for longer and allow more time for combustion to push the piston down the bore (more BMEP on the piston crown +more power) A short rod reaches and leaves TDC quicker so the dwell between the long and short rod is very much different. And all of this could be yours for £1475.00 + £12 Courier charge We also do other stroker kits so please feel free to ask for details. Please see our website for pictures and more details.
  15. Hi Ben, The kink in the wheel was repaired, and the tyre was just blown back up and has retained it's pressure since
  16. Bonnet needs to be off the car for Ben to do it, best wait for a sunny day ;-) Keith
  17. Hey Ben, No worries at all, I am really pleased with the new front end now It was always the area which let the car down the most, next is the end bay to tart up to suit the power And anyone looking for some paint work to be done, BEN IS YOUR MAN! Oh and you'll be pleased to hear the wheel has been fixed so is back on again! Cheers, Keith
