  2. Looks like im going to miss this now im stuck offshore until monday. My fiancee might take the car down on sat morning for a nosey but wont be able to go on the run as shes 39 weeks pregnant! Hope you all have a great weekend and it stays dry! Mike
  3. I will be there non stand but coming down from the north. Mike.
  4. I had one of these of my Evo years ago with a decat, it was far too loud and i even got to the stage of wanting to straight swap it for anyone with a standard exhaust.
  5. I'm just home and looking at the the info pack kindly given to my girlfriend and her mother at the Vue cinema, thanks for making them feel welcome i missed out on a great weekend by the looks of it with some of my favorite roads, hopefully next year! Mike
  6. Wont be able to make this now, unfortunately just received my new rota and im away for this maybe next year, have a good weekend Mike
  7. now now thats below the belt Thats bandit country! I really should change my profile to Inverness but i'll be back over the bridge soon enough. Grant i think its Pace in Kildary but will look on Saturday if i go to the snowman and was Esso in Thurso with 97? Helsdale to Thurso is a great road, used to do it weekly, emptied an evo tank by Brora once, tho that was a small tank using anti lag now and again
  8. Yeah i'll have to get a couple of pics up, had it a while but not out too often with the state of the roads up here
  9. Im up for this i wont book the Norseman just incase im offshore but will get a last minute room if not, im in Inverness anyway so no travelodge required.
  10. I wouldnt use glenburgie again after my one and only dealing, cost me alot of time and money, russ at wallace sorted the car within a day.
  11. Thanks for the reply, its good to know theres someone to source parts, hopefully someone will know about the ecu, as im over 100 miles from a specialist but only 2 miles from a subaru dealer. cheers mike.
  12. Could anyone please tell me if a subaru main dealer diagnostics machine will pick up any faults if they were to occur in a 2007 spec c for example a faulty sensor? also where is the best place to get spec c spares? litchfields, roger clark etc? many thanks mike.
  13. Thanks for the help once again, my evo was listed as a plg so was only £185 tax but others are over £400 for the exact same car, it just depended how the dvla registered it, i think at least a quarter of the UK evo 8 and 9s are the lower tax band, which is why i asked if some imprezas had the cheap tax, its not a worry as it will be cheaper to maintain than my evo anyway. I ended up test driving a non ppp hawkeye sti and enjoyed the drive, tho it wasn't as quick as I've been used to, i loved the interior and it felt better built than Mitsubishi, my girlfriend and i are looking forward to making the change to Subaru and hope to find a 57 plate low mileage blue hawkeye with ppp
  14. Thanks for all your help i'll have a look at two cars i may be viewing, aye a remap is prob better but i dont want too many mods for my girlfriends insurance. One other thing does anyone know if the jap import hawkeyes get registered as plg like my old lancer was or is it £400 odd tax for all? Cheers Mike.
