Use experian HPI on autotrader, it has any Vcar listing and also shows indemnity levels of the finance from all previous owners and MOT mileages

If the mileage is genuine go have a look at it pics look good. just double up on the HPI checks.

Thanks Arch its the ful synchro hub for 5th that the selector fork goes onto. the nut wound loose and ruined the synchro

That is correct, if any subaru is put onto a brake tester you are within your rights to tell them to test it on the road. But these fannys have had mine out and destroyed the box going into reverse from 5th as far as the gearbox people say as it is only that shaft that is damaged

Was is a 4wd brake tester? if not then it shouldnt have been on one.

Its the same for all awd cars they must be tested on the road from 30 they have had a thrash definately. Or put it on a proper brake tester and jammed It up

It did 6 miles extra since book in mileage on failure and actual mileage

I dont want to name them for legal reasons. apparently it happened during a brake test on possil road near maryhill. the box is now out the car and being looked at by a gearbox specialist who thinks that the selector may have shifted past the dentent due to someone going for reverse at speed

Ive been through all that lot already it happened 2 months ago. just need it on the road again. the garage are a shower of tossers had the cheek to fail it on emmissions after it was broke. it could take 6 months in legal time and even then i dont want them to sort it

My gearbox has jammed between fifth and reverse and is sitting in a false neutral any ideas? I put it in gor an mot and got it back like this and they wont confess what happened
