  3. thats exactly what im going to do tomorrow Big D, am i correct in thinking that its on the bottom right as you take the cam cover off? im not going to drive her around like some silly people that still drive theres round when the head gasket has gone.
  4. Hi Guys and girls just wanted to make sure im doing the right thing, was driving around and suddenly there was a knocking sound like piston slap but not (hard to understand) it comes and gues, i decided to sit in the car today from cold up until it got hot and just before thee temperature went up decided to take her up the road and back and when the temperature went to the correct position the knocking came back. im guessing its going to be thee water pump bearings, is there anyone else that would agree to this, also noticed that there is a slight leak of coolant. cheeers people
  5. Well............... HELL YES IM COMING from good old telford only an 1.30hrs away so yes (silver WRX Wagon)
  6. bit of a weird question but where is it being held and when, always wanted to go to the mcrae gathering
  7. i remember giving an Astra VXR a go not so long ago and my GOD for a FWD car it left me for dead and sounded like a scooby, i couldnt believe my eyes, just before that we where both on a large roundabout and it couldnt keep up, just shows that vauxhall are really getting quite good at making fast cars just need a bit of help getting round the bends
  8. ermmm 3k this year bearing in mind im 20 with WRX wagon with 2 yrs experience but nil no claims.
  9. iv got a turbosmart BOV which i had fitted after i went to scoobyclinic and all in all its a brill piece of kit and quite cheap compared to most out there and its also adjustable and still sounds better than most IMO
  10. never really been a fan of 5k launches,i prefer the old fashioned way start slow let them get in front and put your foot down whipes the smiles off the vtr drivers faces.
  11. im thinking of getting the exhaust system, induction kit and remap as you said will be fitted before the run and obviously on shell v power as always, i would like to see around 300bhp but 280 would do me for now, they do sound like great guys at that place and iv never heard anything bad about them, but am i also correct in saying the standard gearbox will only date around 300bhp
  12. i cant make my mind up i do like the sound of the blitz but at the same time if i get the scooby clinic exhaust i may be able to have it remapped also , if anyone has had the remap also how much power gains did you see. p.s iv got 93 WRX JDM wagon if anyone has had it done to one
  13. Hi guys and girls well i was going to have a blitz-nur spec r system but it wasnt compatible with my new decat turbo downpipe sooooo i decided to look at the scooby clinic exhaust system, just want to know the people that have them how are they and whats the sound like. Many thanks Andy
  14. im 21 with 2 years (nearly 3) driving experience and iv only just had my 1st policy in my name on my scooby and it costs me 3k for a wagon wrx import that was through express insurance
