  3. OK, I'm thinking about turning my impreza back to standard and sell it off cheaper so..... My car has a few mods with a ecutek re-map. If i sell the mods is it just as easy as swapping out my ECU for whoever buys my mods ECU?? That way they get a cheap deal and i get some cash back. Cheers STOO
  4. Crappy Iphone pic................ Oh ITS FOR SALE!!!! LOL I'm gonna try and get a proper good nightime one this week!! STOO
  5. Andy says they have been developing it for a while. It is already available for the US market. I hope its out soon cause that would be awesome to have on the car. Andy also said that it would be proper anti lag, nothing like what he can put on the now. STOO
  6. Got my hawkeye mapped today for the first time using the Ecutek. Really impressed with the Ecutek and Andy, car feels a lot quicker and more useable now. Car made 330BHP and i think it was something like 360 odd ftlb or torque. Pretty good considering I still have the standard downpipe in the exhaust system. So I'm kicking myself that i didn't get that done before i went but i'll get one fitted and pop back over for a re-map when the update becomes available so that the uk/euro hawkeyes can get the proper switchable anti lag and launch control!! Hopefully that'll be soon! Still gotta get my petrol leak sorted thought!! STOO
  7. Dvla has my vin number inputed wrong. Figures it out now though can't get a gasket till tomorrow and my mapping at 10 stoo
  8. Hi can somebody pm me a vin number for a hawkeye sti impreza??I have somebody at a Subaru garage just now and they have written down my vin number wrong and the guy at the garage can't look up the spare part without the vin number. Thanks in advance
  9. Just found this.................... "I would have thought so,It may be its not burning quite right cos of the plugs,I only asked cos i used to get a petrol smell in mine only in the mornings and only when i had over half a tank of fuel which took ages to trace as there were no leaks etc and it turned out to be that the fuel pump seal was not fitted correctly which allowed fumes into the car" Could this possibly be my problem??? Where will i get a spare gasket?? subaru cupar is citroen or something now?? STOO
  10. Ok, looking for a little help as i'm totaly desperate to get this fixed, so i'm clutching at straws here. here is my post http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=137322 I'm getting the car mapped by Andy on friday at 10am so i'm needing this fixed before then. So any help suggestions would be amazing and worth lots o beers!!! STOO
  11. I cant wait to get mine done next week now!! Do you spend the half day with andy or do you have to go spend time in port seaton?? STOO
  12. Think i'll maybe struggle to get booked in anywere before the 28th now not to mention getting the time off work doh STOO
  13. I've got a 07 STI with back box, centre section, main de-cat + de-resonator + HKS filter + walbro and cooler plugs. So might be worth trying to get one fitted before the end of the month then! STOO
  14. Hi, Is there anyone in Scotland that can supply and fit a sport cat downpipe?? I have my re-map on the 28th and i'm wondering if i would be better getting one of the sports cats fitted to replace the oe downpipe cat?? or is the extra benifits not that great?? i.e should i wait till i go bigger turbo and injectors etc before getting one?? STOO
  15. Got all the spark plugs replaced, set them at 0.65 mm. The one on the passenger side back was a mare to do but I managed ok. Been out for a run in the car and all seems pretty good, so I'll try not to use the car too hard till the re map, just get an oil change next weekend then it's ready. Wish I hadn't spilt so much fuel when I was doing the pump though cause the car is reeking! Stoo
  16. What gap should i be setting the spark plugs too?? they have come set for 0.5mm. Found it easy to get into the drivers side but the passenger side looks like it'll be a nightmare STOO
  17. Fired the original filter on the car just now and it started up first time. Found right in the neck of the new filter a rubber blank that was deep inside. It didn't seem right to me in the first place but I didn't want to start pulling bits off that looked that they might have to be in there. Anyway.. Now gotta decide wheather to do the spark plugs or not?
  18. Aye, i'll run it with the old filter. The old filter actually looks better anyway, its bigger and the old one has a plastic rib that looks like it'll stop the filter from losing its shape?? STOO
  19. Will do I think, i should have just got somebody to fit it for me. But then I never had this bother when I done it on the 200sx. The other wierd thing is that the pump I removed was exactly the same size and the new walbro? The more I think about it the problem has to be with the filter. I should have been able to look into the neck of the filter and see the mesh, not a solid plastic blank?? Stoo
  20. Also in the box with the new walbro there was a rubber ring that was around the male connection at the end of the pump where the filter pushes onto and this meant that the filter couldn't get pushed on enough to get the retaining clip on. So i removed it to allow a better filment of the filter. One other thing on the filter, on the female connection that pushes onto the pump when you looked into that it almost looked like it had a blank on it but if i blew or sooked on that connection i'm sure i got flow although it was quite restricted. Was this a blank i should have removed from the filter?? Anyway, this has put me off doing my spark plugs now! STOO
  21. Ok, Tried to fit my walbro pump on my hawkeye STI today. All seemed to be going well (apart from lots of petrol going everywhere) and then i tried to start the car and the thing won't start???? It sounds like the the pump is priming when i'm one click of the key away from starting the car but it just won't start. I have a toad alarm which i thought may have been the problem as i had the battery disconnected, but the starter motor wouldn't even attempt to go if it was the alarm that was holding it out. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this?? i'm confused.... And i also sheered one of the bolts that holds the lid of the fuel pump to the fuel tank STOO
