About scoobynick

  1. You will need to get the ecu reset by someone with the necessary electronics. The car will run normally, it's just the ecu thinking there is something wrong (whatever was unplugged, now no longer works in the eyes of the cars computer brain). Induction kits can be pretty good, but can also be a bit of a pain. Make sure the fuel mix is still correct, it could run lean. Also, when the under bonnet temps get hot, it may mean the air sucked into the engine is a bit warm. Doom and gloom over, I've always had induction kits on my cars (not subaru) and found them ok. A cold air feed works a treat though. Enjoy
  2. Probably a bit late, but I removed the seat belt loop (bolt under the plastic cover). The plastic surround 'simply' pops off. There are clips around the place holding it in place. Once you removed one clip (around the area of the seat belt loop) you can sort of pull and peep if you like to see the other clips, then apply force around this area only. It's quite brutal, but as long as you apply the force to the area of the clip only, the surround is pretty tough. hth
  3. To be honest, that's quite scary Cheers for the 'warm' welcome
  4. Hi all, Just paid up full membership and thought I'd say hi. Owned my Subaru now for just less than a year, love the mid range grunt and acceleration so far. First turbo car I've owned but tinkered with plenty of cars previous to this one. Do all my own mechanics where possible. I look forward to chatting with some of you in the future. Cheers
