About terzomark

  1. Cheers for garage comment fellow 276 owner!!!!

  2. What a coincidence- I saw me too this morning in a shop window in Cheltenham! I waved, got a wave back. Very handsome driver, it must be said...
  3. Hi, sorry for the delay I'm having all sorts of internet problems...anyway, 2 tickets now ordered from the SIDC shop. Looking forward to it!
  4. Yes yes yes! Count me in please! Mark
  5. None whatsoever mate. Volvo? There's a time and place for a Volvo: the time is old age, and the place is a caravan park. Leave it for the time being, get a scoob...we've gone completely off topic here, haven't we!
  6. Sounds exactly like what is needed- I'll get Googling! Yes, the problem is that the bit you stick the other bit in (Retainer was the best word that came to mind) is on a long bit of belt, that is itself attached somewhere behind the rear seat (is this making any sense at all?) meaning the buckle part sits high up. Some sort of ratchet would be ideal, and would mean a Recaro Young Sport seat is possible! Top advice, thank you. All the best, Mark
  7. Scoobaradery mate, it's a thing of beauty.
  8. I hope so mate- I don't mean to worry you, but I'd double check. The trouble (seemingly) is that classic Subaru rear seat belts are quite long, meaning the retainer sits high up. It could be something to do with the Terzo's rear seats not splitting I suppose, but I'd have a good look if I were you.
  9. ha! I know the feeling- there's a miserable so and so near me with a MINT new shape STI- Come on man, play the game for godssake! I'll keep on waving until i get the finger at least!
  10. Hello one and all, I recently popped into Halfords to buy my son a new car seat- I really fancied the Recaro 'Young Sport' one as it looks the business and has really good side impact protection etc. When the guy came out to fit it, he called me round the other side of the car to show me how the seatbelt buckle rested against the seat at such an angle that all the pressure in an accident would be on the retainer rather than the belt itself. This, unsurprisingly, is very dangerous, and I decided against buying it. Thing is, all the others in Halfords do the same, so I'm left wondering what to do next. Has anybody else had this problem with a classic shape Impreza? Any suggestions? Thanks, Mark
  11. The image does look smart, but I think I 'get' the new shape. If we consider how their WRC programme has panned out in more recent years it seems a fair bet that the new shape hatch MAY start to win a few events (eventually). If they are going to keep up in WRC, then a new approach is necessary as only Ford (using a hatch) can hold a light to Citroen (curiously, using a hatch). I'm not basing this on too much fact, granted, but let's be honest- who the hell were Subaru before their rally programme started? Surely, (again, I'm kinda assuming here) in order to keep us interested in their product, they need the good PR from the WRC that they've traditionally always enjoyed. That said, why they are using the new graphics rather than the traditional blue and yellow is an odd decision- it looks like such an after thought! Blue with a grey bit at the back and a really p1ss poor 'Subaru' decal down the side set at a jaunty angle- not too inspiring. Well, that's my two pence worth. Climbing down from my soapbox and preparing for the onslaught Mark All that said, I'd still have one!
  12. you're quite right, it shouldn't detract from the fact that 'Block' is some driver- if I tried half of those things I expect I'd understeer pathetically into something solid. Amazing to watch. Fact.
  13. Damn! You ruined the illusion! I bet you're right, that's too much perfection for one take. Told you his name was Ken.
  14. That's my only reservation- I really can't be doing with changing bits and pieces just for the MOT. Plus, heaven forbid you have a prang, surely the insurance would have a very convenient way of wriggling out of paying up? I think I'm going to check out the H and S section as mentioned above by my esteemed colleague, as the price is much cheaper that the standard Subaru part.
