Mmmmmmmmmm, that's lovely! Personally not keen on the lights or wheels but then, I'm not driving it so it's not an issue!

As far as I'm aware, the witeline goodies come with some pretty comprehensive instructions, even colour piccies!

Bad news I'm afraid guys... well, for me at least. I don't think I'm going to be able to make this one after all that initial excitement. The brakes on the car need replacing so they'll either be old, crap and be about as efficient as using my arm as an air brake OR they'll be too new, not worn in and I'll run the risk of warping a brand new set of discs/fook up the pads which I really can't afford to do at the moment. Sorry guys. I will try and make it down as a spectator though if I can.

Looking good! Still no excuse for missing out on a run with Matty and I though!

And there was me thinking, muppets, they're a day early!!! Don't I feel like an idiot now I've looked at the calendar!

No mate, they don't have a Pediatric A&E so it was The JR but if she was in any longer i would've had her transferred through the health insurance. JR also have a Renault F1 play area but they didn't go to the same effort prodive have, looks like they just picked up the bill from Toys r Us.

For those that don't already know, on Monday our little girl had to go into hospital after giving herself concussion... she seems okay now and after a pretty stressful time for her mum and I, she's now home! We where a bit surprised that when it came to taking her home she didn't actually want to leave but I'm not sure anyone could blame her when you see what she had to play with... all I can say is that I sooooooooo want this for the garden!!!! Just how cool is that eh? They even have little prodrive pit crew outfits for the kids that are well enough to go outside

Different login name is why... "petenofear" vs. petenofear1" They'll have different membership status'

They thought the machine had the wrong reading with my emissions test mate... lower than last years!!!!

Andy mate, had my MOT today (surprisingly she passed even with the shot pads, low discs and headlight bulb gone ) but I had it done at Old Mill Motors down in Crawley... they said that they do the MOTs for Cotswold and used to work on some of the Prodrive cars. Just wondering if that's where yours went for her test? Seriously impressed is all I can say...

Okay, so SWS I guess is South West Scoobies... what's SOR? I've so much left to learn!

Not necessarily, a lightly modified or even a completely standard model will give you the opportunity to add your own mods and you'll also know exactly what has been done and by whom... a heavily modified car in its nature, will be more prone to issues. However, a well built, thoughtfully modified car (such as Emoe's [the red one above] would be as reliable as a lightly modified car from someone who didn't know what they where doing. There's no firm and fast rules tbh... just ask LOTS of questions! I would be tempted to go for a car that's already been registered over here myself as I've heard horror stories about customs paperwork holding cars up for months at a time! There's loads of imprezas out there these days as the car market is at a low point and there are some real gems to be had so take your time and keep your eyes peeled! Good luck with the search and keep us posted.

===OR=== There's another v2 555 STi here: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=130151&hl=

ACTUALLY... It's just dawned one me. Emoe's scoob is up for sale. I was trying to get the cash together to buy it but that's looking unlikely... worth a look! http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=129768&hl=

To be fair, and no offence to The Squiggle, you would probably get a tidier, less heavily modified one for about the same these day as prices have gone through the floor... I've seen some REALLY nice v4/5 import STi's on PistonHeads for about the same. I know they're not 555 Editions but tbh, that's not anymore either with the body mods. This for example: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/880740.htm Just my 2p's worth, far from gospel. (You moved to Witney yet by the way?)

Looking good! Out of curiosity, are you putting them onto the car when it's dry or have you dried it for the photos?
-
I'm dyslexic... you don't see me not being able to use spell check! Most people use it as an excuse not to learn and it's b******s. Anywho, Dyslexia doesn't mean you have to type with caps on does it?

About a year ago there was a tv programme on about men who showed their cars 'a little too much attention'... If i had one of those i would be one of them!

Does this make any sense at all??? "Hi bhp was tested at the santapod paper lost, cusca suspentions, 3-4 months oil, sparks, oil filter petrol filter changed oil used mobil 1, brakes is 4 kaliper brakes no service history car was imported , the thing on the bonet is a induction system but removable the supercharger is connect it to the just after the airflow meter thanks" induction kit (that wouldn't go near the engine with the bonnet open so can't be attached to anything) on the end of the MAF with a removable supercharger connected to the other end? WTF????

Bugger! I've been trying to say happy birthday to each of the members in a separate topic... sorry mate, must've missed yours! Hope you had a good one! Enjoy Metallica!

...or someone that doesn't know better. Unfortunately someone's going to buy that in good faith thinking it's the next best thing to a WRC car. Shame we can't do anything to warn them really because that car's an absolute disgrace!

I'm probably going to be miles out but the small one looks like a TRS mini-jack (headphone socket) and the big one looks to be a Belling-Lee coaxial cable jack (TV aerial) Confused as to why they would be in your car though! I'm probably well off the mark! Noticed I no longer have the ability to spell! -
You tell me mate, PM on its way!
