  1. Hi guys, Quick update: Apparently she's fixable and their working to get her completed by/for the weekend... I'll be VERY impressed if they manage it That said, it's all subject to everything being okay with the wheels/steering - fingers crossed!
  2. Would look so much better with a hot rod style roof chop imho
  3. Looks aside, its actually alright if I'm honest. LOADS of room, rammed full of gadgets and quite a nice driving position. If they did a 7 seat version I would be really tempted
  4. Nissan cube :(
  5. Yep, they're fixing the car and have given me a courtesy car in the mean time.
  6. Thanks guys. Bonnet opened because it hadn't been closed properly before I collected the car Roof is the bit I'm worried about, the bonnet, screen dash etc can be replaced easily enough but the roof just looks nasty!!!
  7. Scoob was in for repair to the rear bumper this last couple of days... went to get her this morning and they've done a fantastic job. Happy as Larry I drove out of Witney, onto the A40, hit 60 and BANG!!! Up comes the bonnet!!!! So there I am, outside lane of the A40, doing 60, unable to see a bloody thing at rush hour... hit something on the outside edge (stone/kerb/other), swung the car blindly across two lanes (thankfully missing any more cars) and hit the kerb on the inside lane just as I pull into the layby. The paint guys have said they'll fix her up good as new but I'm not a happy bunny this morning. Going to be weeks before I see her again now. **Just to add, I was the only occupant and I'm alright, just in a pissy mood!** Before anyone asks, no, I won't say who the paint guys are, it was a genuine accident on their part, they've been good about it and honestly did a great job with the paint
  8. Bampton way yeah? Nice roads around there!
  9. Been looking at covers myself mate but with the cost of them for a blobeye, I've held back for now... one day though! Much prefer the sleek look myself
  10. I'm there. Grew up around the corner so try to get down to anything at Smeatharpe to show support especially after Dakota Nights got canned by whining locals!
  11. Lol, yep 19... mum was considerably older
  12. lol, my old man used to be a postie - nothing like that long, he's only 48 now!!!
  13. Is it yours then you old fart?
  14. Doesn't sound good does it! Before I lived in the area but there's a few about tat have been about for a while, sure they'll be along soon enough. Makes you wonder how cars get treated by previous owners doesn't it! (removed the full reg from you post btw, wouldn't want the car getting cloned as well as having a price on its head! )
  15. Yep, been looking at the maserati birdcage myself! Think I might have to settle for a faster scoob instead though
  16. Matty, look into a multicar policy - I did and it saved a fortune (over £200) and the real bonus is that we both get 2yrs ncb for each year (one for each car) so I'll be back to 5yrs by May!
  17. I'm 28 and pay £285 with a claim earlier this year which reduced my ncb to 3yrs. Saying that, I've no turbo to hike up the cost!
  18. Bugger! 10yr Anniversary. Another I wanted to get down to but can't... one day, promise
  19. Was looking at it on Sun if it's the same one - paint looked immaculate!
  20. That the one up Hill View? Autobahn FMIC etc?
  21. Sorry to hear youre struggling to sell. Seems a recurring trend of late what with everyone tightening their belts. Have you looked in the latest Parkers for price guides? It might give you an idea of current Market value? Is the car modified at all? If so, it might be worth returning it to standard. Photos are often seen as key as gives instant visual clues as to how well a car's been cared for etc. Sure someone more clued up will be along soon enough with some advice
  22. Fantastic drive out! Thanks for coming along Rich, was good to catch up and fantasic to see the new scoob in action, she's gorgeous! Vimmy, was that you we passed up by Kindligton airport? By the time I registered you were already crossing the roundabout.
  23. Bump See you tomorrow!
  24. No worries Col, these things happen - the roads will always be there, it's not like we can't do it again at some point
  25. That's what I like to hear!
