Hello,
MOT time today, got an advisory on NSF tyre - looks to me like it's actually the spare thats on judging the other tyres wear (other roughly 5-6mm)
So the question is, on the spare PFF7 I have in the garage is a brand new Goodyear F1 - is this ok to fit with the other "worn" tyres, or will this have an effect on the car mechanicly or otherwise.
I'm sure I was told years ago 4wd/AWD cars need tyres changed all round??
Regards
Charlie

Thats the very one.
Need to pop in there, bit easier than Bellshill from Chapelhall.
Cheers Gary

Charlie ,how do?
I don't think it is selling it yet ,do not know how many times i have popped in to see.............Why have the banners
Going to have a look.
Kenny
I'm fine mate, you?
I actually said to the assistant behind the till about the banners/delas on the pumps - they shouldn't advertise what they don't sell, but in one ear and right out the other side without touching the sides!
May seem petty, but it isn't half annoying when your running low and can't be bothered with Bellshill/Coatbridge etc!

was running low on petrol after yorkhill this morning so pulled into the shell garage in condorrat put the nozzle into my tank and the price flashed up wait for it £ 118.9, needless to say the nozzle was rapidly removed and replaced, then crawled to coatbridge 6 pence a litre cheaper . what a f+++++g rip of , they should be wearing masks at the till , robbers
end of rant
kenny
Does the Shell in Airdrie still not sell V-Power (even although they have the banners up etc)
I usually go to Bellshill, or Coatbridge/Baillieston if I'm passing.

Sorry, my mistake, Oil Temperature it is - only shows the temp after a hard or long run, so possibly the sender?
If I can't get a replacement I am looking at new 45mm gauges to fill the holes.
Cheers guys

Does anyone know where I could find replacement 45mm gauges?
My Lamco Oil Pressure gauge is a little iffy - so was thinking of replacing the lot but keeping the Subaru Pod....
Thanks in advance.

He is £195+vat for a EcuTek tweak if that helps
(if the car was originally mapped by him that is)

I should really make the effort and get decent pics once the weather dries up, excuse the camera phone pics for now........

Any pics of the Hoody please?

Forgot about them Jamie - I have booked it in for Saturday at The Garage (don't want to mess them about, he has been really helpfull in the past)
I will text you tomorrow mate - phones in, yes you guessed it, the car (in the garage)..........

Cheers guys
Just going to put it in to The Garage in Motherwell this weekend - let Marc check it over, noise has gone now..........very strange.

Is that warranty only valid if fitted by them?
I have heard good things about SW Motorsport - but a bit of a trek considering I don't want to further damage it.
I was going to do DIY, but lack of press is an issue.
-
I "THINK" I have an iminant wheel bearing failure, slight "humm" when cornering moderatly to the left (no play when jacked up, just the slight humm/droan).
Any recomendations as to where to go, and idea of cost too.
Sooner the better as to not cause hub damage.
MY02 WRX STi
Many thanks
Charlie

Cheers guys
Should be tackling it at the weekend.

Hi,
Seems the Neutral Position Switch has just about gave up, no AVCS now (it was coming/going during the recent Andy Forrest visit).
I have ordered one from Ian Greive Subaru (£51.70!!
) - quick question, has any one changed on from a DIY point of view? Do you need to remove the gearbox mount or can you squeeze a hand in?
Plan is to get it on the ramps at rear + axle stands at the front so I can get right under.
02 STi btw.....

That's a MAJOR pet hate of mine!! I do a serious amount of motorway driving (90-100k per year, obviously not in scoob) and as such I use cruise control a lot, and I can be driving along comfortably gaining on a car, pull out to overtake and suddenly find that I'm no longer pulling on the car, and in fact, the TW@T has all of a sudden decided to increase his speed, even though he hasn't for the last visible few miles..... Do these people not actually pay attention to what's happening around them? Or do they get some kick out of making someone pull back in?
Does my head in too, especially in the lorry on cruise at 56mph - muppets sitting at 55.5mph but the feel offended when I attempt an overtake and then speed up (baw bags).
Boy racers make me chuckle, especially the ones who get tick to by a VXR and think they can take on all!
They should stick to the X-Box as 99% of the time their lack of driving skill shows them up.

The BC's were fitted to mine when I bought it (been on for approx 6k) - great ride, amazing handling when coupled with the Whiteline Anti-Roll bars, Drop Links, Anti Lift kit, Poly bushes etc plus Prodrive Alignment.
You won't look back! Night and day from standard STi/Prodrive shocks in my opinion.

You ought to make your mind up lol

Hello....
My car is going in to Andy Forrest for a remap tweek this week after fitting a APS CAI plus mapped from 95ron to 99ron fuel.
Anyway, question is - as it's the October week with the kids being off, would I be better getting a babysitter for my 8yo who I would be watching?
Or is the remap kid friendly (she is more of a Scooby nut than me truth be told)?
(sorry, remap virgin here)

Yep, definatly STi 7

My god, the TSL Firestorm not loud enough Jamie?
Buy a hearing aid, will be cheaper!
