feeling your pain mate. one of my number plate lights was out I took one look at the state of the bolts and decided somebody else was best placed to remove it. I replaced the number lights as well. Cost me around £20 for the unit which just bolted straight on and plugged in. seem to make sense giving the state of them and the easy fix....

I have had the same issue and decided just to take the car to AWD in perth today. Both my front Calipers were sticking on my 98 WR Sport....the brake pedal felt like standing on a wet sponge so just bit the bullet and got both the front 4 pots change for fully recon ones with new disc/pads. Offside front lower piston was rock solid, certainly explains the worrying stopping distances.. AWD had the bit's in stock so wasn't too much hassle. around £130 each inc Vat. They had to replace the rear bumper beam as well. That was a nightmare as it came off in two pieces in the end rusted right through !!!!!

Yeah your right it is a crappy compass. It kinda looks like it's supposed to be there though and I want to keep the actual dash mount part and maybe find some gauges that fit inside the unit. Either that or try to find a proper SPEC's unit.....would that plug in to the ECU?? And believe it or not the car came with the original instructions. As for the seats then I think I may be keeping them judging by the reactions...... maybe pop by next time for the Tayside meets....

Hey all, just joined the Forum after convincing my mate to sell his old Impreza to me seeing as he has a newer one. Seems like a pretty standard car however after driving company diesels all my life i'm mighty impressed with the Subaru..... I'm sure you will all tell me what is " different " about the car by looking at the pics however this is my first Subaru so go easy...... I've been reading good things about AWD Engineering and seeing as I live in perth i'm thinking of taking the car down for an honest opinion..
