Hi all. Does anyone know what restrictions are in place for naming websites? As a hobby I am toying with creating a Impreza focused website with pics etc of my own car plus anything else intertesting I can find on the web (with the owners permission ofc). Something to pass the time when its quiet at work.

Am I ok using Impreza in the title of the website or does that breach Subaru copyright? Im not going to be making any money from it thats for sure so I doubt they would have their finest legal minds on the case.

Yeah thats what I thought - the bikes looked awsome under the flood lights. I think JT is going to be held back by his bike this year tbh. Apparently his Tech 3 is has a sigificantly lower top end to the factory M1. Rookies all did well tbf.

Saw an SLR 722 driven by Sabine (the bird who took the transit around the Ring on top Gear) race a plane down the start finish\straight of the Nurburgring last year. The pics below were before it all got going. The noise that car made screaming past at full chat made the hairs on my neck stand up. Ive got it all on HD video somewhere. Will have to get it up on Youtube.

Ive reverted my silencer back to standard and therefore have the above Magnex available. Id be interested in a swap with something that looks standardish but with a nice burble (I couldnt get on with the 5" tail pipe). Open to suggestions. If someone wants to offer cash then feel free to PM me for pics etc.

It was put on the car in 2007 and has covered around 4k miles.

Hello all.

Sorry in advance for the boring and probably done to death post. Its quiet at work and as usual my mind has wandered to the scoob.

As per my other thread I am resigned to the fact that my 5" Magnex backbox has got to go. Although it sounds quality (especially through the Dartford tunnel ) its just not to my taste.

My questions are:

- Ive spoken to Sanspeed who did their equivelant to the PPP and they say they just fitted the backbox. Does this mean that it will be the standard 3" diamter pipe and I can just whip that off and bolt on the new silencer (whichever one I chose - possibly stock STI)? If the backbox doesnt add any real power then im wondering why they bothered to even include it as part of the package. Which means the 310bhp "claimed" gain is purely from the remap and filter

-How much do you think the Magnex is worth second hand? I dont want to haggle a swap deal for a standard exhaust or similar and find out its worth a lot less than the Magnex.

I am really after something that has a nice noise but looks more subtle. Would anyone be interested in a swap deal??

The performance and sound are sparkling at the moment and I dont want to tinker but one way or another the 5" tail pipe has got to go.

Any suggestions, ideas or advice appreciated.

Thats reassuring. I spoke to Sanspeed and they confirmed that it was just the backbox that they changed so I may well revert back to standard. Cheers!

They want 120 quid on top of my premium for my Magnex exhaust. Does that sound about right? I estimated that it gives an extra 5-10bhp on standard power. My premium is actually quite good through them so I am reluctant to start looking elsewhere.

I personally think my silencer is way to big. The sound is superb but it just looks ridiculous . You could lose a family of badgers up that thing. Im assuming that I will need a remap if I change it though.

Can anyone recomend an exhaust that makes a nice roar without looking too "in your face"? I dont want to pay up the premium on the Magnex only to change it in a week or so and have to go through changing it again.

I wonder how much they will want for the re-map
