Puddleduck cafe in Cullen; just after the viaduct on the left.
Don't park your car outside that shop or directly across the road ever!!!!! Was in there with the other half & my daughter and when i left the car to go in it wasn't locking so i just used the key.Said to the wife for a joke - i think the batteries in the key fob are done wait and see it won't start when we go back out..
And guess what it didn't ,so went up to the local shop and bought 2 new batteries and still it wouldn't immobilise,so had to phone the father in-law to pick us up.Went back over after my tea in my second car (a rover 25 ) and the wife parked at the opposite side of the road.I tried my other key but still nothing, tried typing in the immobiliser pin manually -still nothing!!!! Looked over at the wife and she was saying that the rover wouldn't start either,by now i'm really cracking up...
Then she remembered her sister in-law had the same problem with her jeep outside an electrical shop in buckie and she was told that it's the shop burgular alarm system thats blocking the signal from her key fob.So i free-wheeled the rover 2 car lengths down the hill and it started no probs, did the same with the scooby and hey presto away i go !!!!!
I spent £8 on new batteries for nowt..... A lesson learned i suppose.
