  1. My old 2002 STI came with an Rac Trackstar as standard
  2. Picked these Speedline Turini's up yesterday from a fellow forum user on here -spent all last night machine polishing them to get rid of surface scratches and decided to colour code the centre caps to suit the RB's colour scheme.Have to say i've picked up a great bargain with thses ,Cheers again Graham. Getting them fitted tomorrow ,then getting the Original RB alloys refurbed at a later date- although ther're in good condition ,just a couple small chips on the paint that's annoying me!! Here's a pic;
  3. Used the steel wool with a spot of Autosol on it ,takes all the tar ,blemishes off it,then buffed it with a microfibre cloth.
  4. Thanks Bobby, couldn't make it this year due to changing my work rota and other commitments-pity as i really enjoyed last years run.
  5. Cheers Barry ,yes got my mug in Total impreza -claim to fame eh!!!
  6. Kestral dual action polishers are good and you can't really damage the paint -so worth the money in my mind .
  7. After spending a small fortune on polish/machine pads ,etc,etc at Polished Bliss a few days ago thought i'd better put them to good use today .Started about 09:30 and finished at 5pm.Snow-foamed twice ,washed and dried then used Mezerna finishing polish on a light cutting pad with my Kestral dual action polishing machine which got rid of a few minor defects/scratches in the paint.Finished of with Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection .Used Wolf's Chemicals Nano Wheel Cleaner (Clean & Coat) on the alloys -this is the first time i've used this and it's an excellent product.Tyres shined up with Autoglym tyre dressing,backbox cleaned with Autosol polish and a wee rub with fine graded steel wool.Although a lot of work i'm really pleased with the outcome,cheers.
  8. Have you considered BBS CH style alloys ,get them in various colours and look a really nice wheel http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/subaru-18-bbs-ch-style-alloys-5x100-et45-/110661527396?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item19c3f0e764
  9. Done this last month Bobby and really enjoyed it but like you i thought it was well over-priced for what you get and should've cost £70-75 in my opinion.
  10. God i miss the RA,but it's went to a good home,Craig this was my plan when i bought the car but i liked it too much to start stripping it,this should be an excellent track car once your finished,hope it's stilling running okay ,got a bit worried when you posted on here looking for locks and ignition parts!! Good thread to start and i'm looking forward to updates.
  11. The scooby has been tucked up in the garage for most of the bad weather ,but had it out this week and it didn't take long before it was dirty again so had to get the snow-foam out and give it a bit of a clean/polish,here's some pics; my ninja backbox fitted a couple months ago and sounds much better than the standard Prodrive one! Trying to show the multi flake colour of the paint; Alloys - a complete b*gger to keep clean & shiney; Comes up with a good shine !
  12. Good to finally see some pics of the RS Bobby -looks braw ,the RA is looking minted as always.
  13. Got the rally day booked for next month so i'll let you know how it goes,spoke to a couple guys lately who've done it and they said it's great fun.
  14. I think HT AUTO'S might do one,the OEM splitters from subaru are well over-priced
  15. Mate, i've got an RB320 and the subaru front splitter has the STI badge on it ,if i needed to replace it i'd go for the cheaper one as i don't know how Subaru can justify nearly £500 for a piece of plastic!!!
