  5. Looks like fun. How would one go about getting involved with something like that?
  6. Tis all in the manual John...not rocket science, just requires a little light reading
  7. I was only jesting about pulling your neutral switch but here's how above works ....... Your inlet cams have hydraulic servo motors(AVCS) on them and when the car is in gear the camshafts advance i.e open inlet valves sooner. This has the effect of producing more torque midrange especially. The neutral switch on your gearbox comes into play as when its open circuit(Neutral gear position) the cams will stay at base line i.e not advanced. This is to stop the cams advancing when you rev the car out of gear. Its a common fault on the subaru for this switch to wear and not make circuit when your in gear and accelerating , therefore the cams do not advance and u you lose torque. Torque kills boxes Hope this helps......
  8. 340/400..... you could always pull you neutral switch of your box and then your avcs will not advance then it would be more like 340/ 300 Your box will last then !!
  9. I have the same issues with my 6 speed John. Track days have been hard on my 5th gear Syncro's. I think it depends on your power but i find the 6 speed is too short with the extra go i have now and think i'll be going down the five speed and PPG the first four route. About 3k for the bits though...
  10. Just my 0.02p worth.... There seems to be alot of talk about not telling the insurance company about any mods. I think this is false economy dudes. You'll save yourself say 200 squid but in all essence you'd be paying 200 squid less for no insurance at all. Not really worth it but maybe i'm getting old Cheers Colin
  11. Nice lookin' bug dude.... what mods have been done to it? What are you doing with the gold prodrive jobbies ... can i smell a sale...i need a set for track use?... Are the 17's?
  12. Whats the problem with your box John?

  17. Does anyone know where you can purchase 070's in 18"?....Do they even produce them in an 18"?..... I cant seem to find a set anywhere?
  18. Hi m8 and welcome......modifications...better watch out you'll get the bug dude
  19. Welcome m8
  20. No one else
  21. I use black 18's for the raod and original gold wheels for the track. I guess its each to there own but i think the scoob looks more stealthy with the black rims Road Guise: Track Going: I think the black wheels hide the shape of the wings a little and the gold seems to add emphasis to the flare.
