U put it across the battery with the engine running on the display it should read between 13 -14 volts and not far off that when you put all the lights and etc on if the display drops down to 12 volts or if the volts dont go up to what they were with all the electrics on that means your alternator's dead

Nice motor mate I've got a soft spot for Hondas i'd probably have one if i didn't have a Scooby there is so much you can do to them and the VTEC engines are amazing!
