Yes its the HKS EVC6. Before you say check the pipework ive done that and as far as i can tell there isn't any leakage. i like these emoticons . TDI did the set up for me too jolly mate.

Hello you lot. Hows tricks? Dont know if anybody can help me out here but i seem to have a slight hesitation on the car. It happens mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear around 2500 revs. Ive had to go down the route of possible causes and elimination and so far i've cleaned and eliminated the MAF (apexi filter fitted), cleaned and eliminated the pressure sensor, cleaned and eliminated the boost solenoid which is HKS along with all relevant pipework and cleaned and eliminated a very dirty IDC. I've also changed two of the coil packs on the drivers side. Car is running absolutely superb now but i still have this hesitation. Im thinking it could be the other two coil packs as only changed two and the ones that came out were brittle as f******k so maybe the other two need replacing? Or the IDC? Hope one of you guys can shed some expertise on this? Oh and can anyone get hold of any coilpacks or IDC depending on the problem? Oh yeah and by the way its a 93 WRX import

Thanks for the support guys. I was beginning to think being part of the scooby community was a bad thing to be in. Im quite wrong. As for my leak problem, it looks like its a pinhole in the actual rad itself. Thats given me a good reason to get myself a nice alloy one

well he lied to you its a wrx. i took my mechanic with me to look at it. hence gettin him down to 2g and getting bits repaired which were no biggy to someone who works on skylines, pulsars, supras and scoobs. i just made it a hell of a lot better than what it was at the beginning.

well youre highly mistaken mate. i work for my money and if i chose to modify or repair my car thats my choice. its what i do. btw ive been to one meet on sun gone. and who on earth could have told you that my cousin owns a shop? you dont know me and the only person you know who knows me is your paint sprayer and he knows what i do for a living and its hard to mistake my colour isnt it? your a bit of a fraggle really arent u? coming in here insulting people about their cars and making rascial comments then trying to get out of it when you dont literally have a scooby about me or anything else. especially coolant leaks. oh and my gf lives in maidstone. shes not an inbred like yourself

i know what you meant. 300 bhp is safe for it at the moment till other mods ive mentioned come in. and no i dont own a shop neither does anybody else in my family. you knew i was asian from ur paint sprayer. cheap shot. you got anything else to add or can somebody come in with a little helpful info about this leak?

noticed i had made a mistake on how much i gave him. genuine mistake. turned right round and went and gave him it right in his hand. i cant be that tight, my wrx looks better and probably runs better than urs now but enough of your useful comments as you clearly havent got a clue. anybody else know about coolant leaks?

like i said its been restored. new panels included. when i get my front mount intercooler, f con ecu, ported heads and new pistons ill give u a shout

No header tank doesnt leak. The header tank is always dry and never shows any sign of any coolant landing on or around it.

Yeah that guy i bought it off didn't say or knew much about the car but luckily i had a professional mechanic mend everything including the damage previously and it runs like a dream, bodywork was professionally resprayed by united colurs and its now one of the cleanest, non dented mechanically sound classics on the road. Probably looks better than yours now . I just got this 1 silly little problem . btw ive fitted a hks evc 6 boost controller, derisricted it, lightened flywheel and clutch, ninja downpipe, hks irridium plugs, etc etc etc. far too many parts to list but its basically been restored better than many scoobs you see today and runs smoother than it ever did. Oh yeah and its been mapped to 300 bhp by torque developments...Fancy a race?

Ok plain and simple one for you scooby experts. I've been getting a leak of coolant around the drivers side front part of the engine right near the headlight. Checked all the pipes and they are fine, replaced the thermostat and thats working fine too. The cooling system has enough coolant and the car never overheats. Now on this basis my header tank is empty first thing in the morning and i've been told it should have coolant sitting inside and it dont. If i fill it up due to it making me think theres not enough coolant it leaks where i have said when i drive it. im not getting any steam and there's no air locks in the system so could somebody please help me figure out what the hells going on? Do i need a new rad? Header tank? I only have signs of coolant around the headlight area. By the way the car is a 93 wrx

Hi guys. Im new and dunno how any of this works but im sure il get used to it. Was my first time at a kent scooby meet. Always wanted to go to one since buying mine and seeing all the forums and meets on these mean machines of the road. Sorry i did'nt stay guys but was really nice to see the cars. Some mad machines there. Was nice to meet you Pele, probably end up passing each other at some point lol. Baz, it was a brief meet but was nice to meet ya mate and whoever has that black/plum flip paint job on their classic scoob all i can say is...niiiiiiiiiiiice! Let me know when the next meet is.
