  1. I think it has the stealthy look - but wanna make it more stealthy!!!! It's got gold 18" Speedline Turini's on it - I think black or anthracite would make the look better. Cheers Gary
  2. Hi Gordon, Cheers fella, Wasn't really looking for a black one - or a hawkeye for that matter - but as I said earlier I couldnt resist!!! Just got an e-mail from the garage confirming that it was Powerstation UK that completed the Ecutek map and I would presume as the exhaust was done by them it is the Milltek 3" sysyem, got the guy from the garage going to check just now. Cheers Gary
  3. Hi John, Cheers fella, when you see it you will see why I couldnt resist - even the wife said it looked good!!!! Wasnt looking for a black hawkeye - but cant wait to pick it up now. See you around fella - at the next Borders meet hopefully. Cheers Gary
  4. Hi Fella, I have been looking for ages and found this one online from a dealer and thought I couldnt let this one slip through the net. Not 100% sure why the swirl pot is on it - but yes it is one less mod required - and if it's been on a track - thats what they were built for!!!! Cheers Gary
  5. Hi Guys & Gals, At fecking last I have just paid a deposit on what I think is a cracking car, already has a few choice mods, with a few more in the coming months I would imagine!!!! It's a metallic black 2006 2.5 WRX STi Type UK with 340bhp & 1 owner from new, the mods so far are as follows; Ecutek remap 18" Gold Speedline Freeflowing Alloys, Front And Rear Strut Braces, Forge Swirl Pot, Samco Hose Kit, Adjustable dash Datalogger, Zun Sport Grille Set, Upgraded exhaust system - yet to confirm what type this is. I think there's more gonna be more when I go down to pick it up, the guy at the dealership said there was a shed load of receipts in a folder from the previous owner who traded up to a new Range Rover Sport - fair posh!!!!! Will get the pics up as soon I pick it up, having to get the private plate off the Audi which I think will take around 10 days at DVLA. Most chuffed Gary
  6. Hi Kenny, If only I could afford the £20k + price tag fella. I am not really looking for a Spec - nice as it may be. Just looking for a good specced STI with over 320bhp ish that has service history and is a clean motor. Surely this is not too much to ask!!! £16k is my limit and it will need to be at a garage as it looks as if I will need to trade in the Audi as I have had no takers on a straight swap. Cheers Gary
  7. Condsider my semi now totally gone. I e-mailed about 10 traders last night about my car as a trade in so hopefully a few replies today so we can make some progress on the new wheels very soon. Cheers for confirming what I had feared. If it looks to good to be true - it probably is!!!! Gary
  8. Hi Guys, A wee bit more research to clarify when models were available; Rev. F (2005)The WRX STi receives the same increase in wheelbase as the Spec C. All STis received additional rear fender flaring in order to allow an increase in wheel size. The wheel size went from 17" x 7.5" to 17" x 8". In accordance with the increased wheel width, steering lock-to-lock turns have been reduced. Wheel hub strength was improved. The P.C.D. was changed from 5 x 100 mm to 5 x 114.3 mm. The interior was vastly improved as well. A whole new center console now brings out a very high grade interior feel. The WRX STI continues on relatively the same. The Impreza line's looks have been updated. The WRX STI Spec C's receives the Arai tuned dampers and a 21 mm (0.8 in) swaybar. The rear suspension is changed from rubber bushings to pillowball bushings. The strut tower was further stiffened for improved handling and stability. The strut towers were reinforced for better handling and better ride characteristics. The engine mounts were changed from metal to liquid-filled plastic mounts to reduce vibrations into the car's cabin. Some 2006 owners have had issues with these plastic engine mounts. The manufacturer will replace them, under warranty if broken, with the 2005 rubber mounts.[10] The DCCD is updated with the use of a torque-sensing mechanism inside the DCCD. The torque split is changed to 41/59. The WRX STI Spec C was used for Group N homologation. The WRX STI Spec C Type RA was released in November 2005, with 350 units produced. The Type RA added the following to the Spec C model from the STI parts catalogue: 4-way STI adjustable inverted struts, STI Japan-spec pink springs, STI rear lateral links, STI rear trailing links, STI 21 mm (0.8 in) rear sway bar, STI rear pillowball suspension, STI 110 mm (4.3 in) opening rear axleback exhaust, STI 17" x 8" Enkei-made wheels and STI V-lip front spoiler. Cheers Gary
  9. Hi Guys, Have seen this and fallen in love http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_popup.jsp?photosOn=1&dealerid=12545&did=12545&pageid=5&modelexact=1&make=SUBARU&model=ANY&min_pr=0&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&keywords=&max_records=50&photo=0&dealersearch_full=SEARCH&start=1&distance=0&adcategory=cars&channel=DEALERPAGE&id=201103377611042 After many failed attempts at trying to part ex my Audi to get back in a Scoob I have finally given up and am gonna look to trade in against a stunner. Seen this Spec C RA and thought "WOW", then thought that I had heard mixed reports about the garage - whats yer thoughts guys and gals??? Cheers Gary
  10. Post removed. Please keep for sale/wanted ads & requests within the appropriate forum please.
  11. 3 seconds faster than the RS - all for only £15k more!!!! Every motorsport team in the World would pay 100 times that for 3 seconds a lap, in F1 they pay Millions for 10ths of a second. Long live the Scoob - Cossie powered or not
  12. Just had a look on Pistonheads and the advert has been removed, maybe he has sold it. Still, no need to string people along saying a deal has been done - when it clearly wasn't. Trust someone from the Police - hmmmmmmm!!!!!!!
  13. Not a happy chappy at all!!!! The guy just text me saying he would need at least £500 on top of the Audi after saying he had done some research and it said the Scoob was worth that much more than the A6. Funny thing is, I had done he same and on Parkers and What Car valuations it put the A6 at £500 more than the Scoob, but in the end thought "what the hell as it's a car I really want and the car I have is what he really wants - so whats the point arguing the toss over £500" The search continues for the Impreza - once again - feckin gutted man!!!! Gary
  14. Cheers fella, just hope it all stacks up and comes home with me so I can burble around once again. PS - don't be so touchy next time!!! And dinnae call the Audi herse a towing car - it's pure nice so it is by the way!!!
  15. The mileage is backed by a full Audi service history, 90k and ready for another 110,000 at least - to be honest I would have had to let you down as a WRX is not my cup of tea, always had STi's - and probably always will. Cheers Gary
  16. You have no idea how much I hope the Scoob is coming back with me on Sunday. Will keep you posted fella. Gary
  17. 42,000 miles, nice mileage for a 55 plate Gary
  18. Hi All, As the title suggests I am going to see this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2366695.htm on Sunday as a straight swap for my Audi http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1848425.htm Anybody got any thoughts if this is a good deal or not - been without a Scoob for a while now and after having the Audi advertised for a while and not having anyone come up with a decent Impreza I thought it was pretty close to the mark. Feedback welcome. Cheers Gary
  19. Hi All, I have a funny feeling I know where this one is going - nowhere fast!!!! If anyone knows anyone with a decent car, that would like a part ex or swap deal please let them know my situation and send them my way. Cheers Gary
  20. Cheers for the hints fella, I am torn between keeping the Audi as the wife is pregnant and due in April - but so want to get back into a Scoob, after 10 years of ownership, the last year or so has been a tough 42mpg - I don't need that kind of luxury anymore. I can't remember what rs grants was like - any pics??? Cheers Gary
  21. Hi Guys and Gals, As some of you may know I have been trying to get back into a Subaru for some time - without much success I have to say so far!!! I have put my Audi A6 Avant for sale, or for a part ex and have had one guy come back to me with a straight swap deal. I think altough it's a wee bit cheaper than mine I am thinking it's not too bad a deal. Can you all have a little look and tell me your thoughts. My Car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1848425.htm The potential new car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2110812.htm Cheers Gary Rallyfever
  22. Hey Lewis, I think the Fiesta and the C4 look stunning, the Cirteon is much beefier than the 2010 model, and to be honest mate - why would they want to change a winning formula??? The Mini I am sure will be a good car in a year or so, but it's no really a looker from this pic!!! Cheers Gary
  23. Would love a mint white STi Hawkeye - rare as hens teeth though!!!! Cheers Gary
  24. Hi All, We have 2 labs and the wife says an estate would be more sensible.....................I want a hawkeye STi!!!! Can someone please convince me of the merits of a Fozzy and if they have seen one thats been modded to a decent spec please let me know where it is. Or if you have seen an estate that looks, and is the b******s you could guide me towards that too! Looking to pay up to around £15,000. Cheers Gary
