  2. Hi All, Just gonna spend £10k on a car as my company one will be going back soon, was wondering what you would buy, and if you had seen any adverts for a car that matched your suggestions? Looking for something sporty, maybe a 2-seater, convertible maybe - just something a wee bit different. Cheers Gary
  3. If only the ones in the pics were £10,000 and under that would be the shot - unfortunately they are way off so will need to keep to reality I am sorry ot say!!! Cheers fella Gary
  4. I think the Z4 is out of the picture, it's gonna be down to a Boxter or a S2000 me thinks, I quite like the look of the S2000, but as has been memtioned a few times here - a Parsche is a Porsche!!! Cheers Gary
  5. Hi Spooks, The car is a 2.7 and it's a manual box, not too keep on the tiptronic model. Cheers Gary
  6. Hi Spooks, The Porsche is a 2.7s and it's a manual box, not too keen on the tiptronic either - bit of a faff if you ask me. Cheers Gary
  7. Hi Craig, Is that the S2000 or the Boxter you are on about fella? Cheers Gary
  8. I know what everyone is saying about the S2000, but for some strange reason it just does not do it for me. Never driven one so wouldn't know until I had a wee test drive, may need to go and have a go of both and take it from there. Just found this one on Pistonheads and it does look the part I have to say, £9,995 he wants with 48k on the clock, FSH on it too.

  13. Hi John, How about one crisp midweek evening so we can blast around the back roads of Roxburghshire, maybe grab a bit to eat somewhere - nothing fancy of course and then a trip to Dom's would be good to round off the evening. Not sure who he is running this year, but I am sure there will be a WRC or 3 there for us to feast our eyes upon. We may need to go to Dom's first - not sure we want to arrive at his at 9pm and expect a grand welcome!!! Give him a call and see what the chat is, post something on here and see what the rest of the chappies and chapasses think. Cheers Gary

  18. IT's OFFICIAL!!!!! JIM CLARK RALLY TAKES TO THE STREETS The 2009 Jim Clark Rally will for the first time feature a competitive street stage. The organisers are pleased to confirm that plans for a super special stage to be run in the centre of Duns are well underway. With the co-operation of the people of the town paramount, the route of the proposed stage was recently unveiled at a public meeting. The county town of Berwickshire, Duns sits in the heartland of the Jim Clark Rally, which this year takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend of 22nd to 24th May. Mainland Britains only closed public road rally, the Jim Clark will once again see competition take place over a number of testing special stages set throughout rural Berwickshire. But, on the Friday and Saturday legs of the rally, selected streets in Duns will also thunder to the sound of high powered rally cars. The Jim Clark International Rally will visit the stage three times during the Friday and Saturday, and plans are in hand for the super special to form the central part of a motor sport heritage show. Jim Clark Rally Manager Colin Pagan said: Its great that we're able to bring exciting special stage rallying right into the heart of Duns - very much the spiritual home of the event, and just a few miles away from where Jim Clark farmed before going on to become World Motor Racing Champion. We also hope that this will form the centre of a motor sport and Jim Clark heritage show. Whether you're from Duns, a visiting rally fan or a competitor, we're sure this will be an exciting spectacle which can only help to further enhance the reputation of this great event.
