I had that trouble with an old classic I had a few years ago Scott when I put 3-way proflex on it, great suspension, but the thicker units did havoc with finding wheels to fit. In the end I had to fit massive spacers - then the wheels rubbed in the wings, gave up after that and put the old wheels back on!!! Been looking at this one guys, whats your thoughts??? The wording on the add is; This car was built for serious competition use, however, circumstances have now changed and therefore the car is now for sale! Here is a quick spec of the car; ENGINE 2,2 Closed deck block Omega forged pistons Pauter forged rods ACL race bearings ARP head bolts Steel cometic head gasgets Piper uprated valve springs TD06 20/1 Andy Forest turbo 800CC Power enterprize injectors FSE 255 fuel pump Sard fuel pressure regulator Autobarn front mount intercooler GT spec cold intake Perrin unequal headers Custom full Decat exhaust system Blitz spec S boost controller Tumble delete inlet manifold Cusco catch tank Alloy lightened pulleys ECU TEC re-mapped by Jolly Green Monster GFB adjustable blow-off valve TRANSMISSION STI 8 spec C gearbox Exedy uprated clutch Lightened fly wheel WHEELS 18" Speedline wheels - Toyo proxi tyres INTERIOR Cobra harnesses OMP stearing wheel Lightened boot EXTERIOR STI 8 bonnet vent STI 8 front bumper STI 8 spoiler Carbon vortex generator STI 7 skirts Cold air intake headlamp Cheers Gary

Hi Fella, Both look good, I do like the first one and have contacted him regarding price, and also if he has the standard scoop and vents - I agree with you than they are not the best looking as they are. Not 100% sure if it will be a P1, just a thought, the shortlist is a P1, Type R or RA. Cheers Gary

I was once told by a wise old man, if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!!!! Do, or do not young Skywalker, there is no try was his next bit of chat - bit of an annoying little hairy guy, I am sure he said yoda yoda yoda. I think he meant yadda yadda yadda. Stay well clear fella. Cheers Gary

Hi Jon, Cheers for that fella, I have e-mailed the guy and he is gonna send me the build number tomorrow, hopefully this will confirm what you think and we can take it from there. Not too sure about the twin headlights - but can see what they look like and change them if I don't like them. Cheers Gary

Hi Fella, The car is based at Wigan Sports and Prestige, not sure if it's been re-mapped and a good shout if it's not. Haven't called them yet to find out the build number. E-mailed about 5 mins ago and will post their reply here. Would appreciate some info on the car if you can get it though. Cheers Gary

Hi All, Been looking for a classic for a wee while now and have come across this one, any thoughts and do you think it's worth the £8,500 asking price? And the wording on the ad is like this; HERE WE HAVE ANOTHER HAND PICKED EXAMPLE OF A P1 - ONLY A 1000 EVER PRODUCED AND GETTING HARDER TO FIND GOOD ONES NOW. This particular example comes with the Prodrive big brake upgrade, Prodrive boot mat, P1 lamp covers, 18" Compomotive alloy wheels, morrette quad headlamp conversion, a full Powerflow stainless steel exhaust (only fitted last year at a cost of over £1050!), induction kit and a H.K.S sequential blow off valve. Standard specification includes electric windows, air conditioning, electric mirrors, superb half alcantara seats, rear wiper, unique to the P1 rear spoiler and front splitter, quick steering rack, short shift gearbox, Cat 1 alarm and an RAC trackstar tracker. 2 sets of keys and only 3 former keepers. Alpine head unit withunderseat multi CD. This particular example comes with a service history showing a cambelt change at 42k miles and long tax and test. Available with all usual dealer facilities. All our cars are H.P.I clear and come with print to prove. This car has been fully inspected. Any items that need attention are addressed and the price includes a warranty and full valet prior to delivery. Cheers Gary

Hi Frank, The Internationals start at 21:33, but the sheet I got from Colin seems to have the Nationals starting at 20:28, which I believe to be correct. If the roads closed from 19:00 I would suggest the near half eight time would make more sense. Cheers Gary
-
Hi Frank, If your parking at Eric's I would imagine you will be able to get into the town centre anytime, but I would get there early as I think there will be limited numbers allowed in the market Square for the obvious safety reasons, it says on the sheet I got from Colin Pagan the roads close at 19:00 hours so between 6 and 7 would be fine me thinks. Looking forward to seeing you all in Duns. Cheers Gary

Hi All, You will all need to be in Duns on the Friday night when the National and the Internationals go through the town, they start in the Market Square, head along North St, swing round a hairpin at the end and back along South St, down on the cobbles of Murray St, round 2 roundabouts and then head down towards the Industrial Estate on Station Road where they swing in and go through the Farne Salmon complex, they will then head out of town on the Coldstream/Swinton road - 1.5 miles of pure tarmac heaven!!!!! The stages on Friday night are; Stage, 1st car due, Last car due Duns N1 20:15 21:05 Bothwell 1 20:18 22:04 Abbey St Bathens 1 20:50 22:36 Duns 1 21:33 ? Duns 2 21:48 22:38 Bothwell 2 22:35 23:25 Abbey St Bathens 2 23:04 23:54 See you there Gary Rallyfever

Hey, Westfield would be a hoot, but for most day usage - a smidge impractical me thinks!!! The TVR is one on my wish list - apart from the MPG - and reliability for everyday use. Cheers Gary -
