Andy was on about getting laser geometry done as it will help the handling of the car - any pointers on who would do that for me? Also he was on about a map that would increase the power - but also increase the mpg's to around 30-32mpg - any clues there too??? Cheers Gary

All fitted now and am well chuffed with the stopping power, had a wee bit trouble with one of the calipers - but Andy got it sorted easily. You will be glad to know it's not a daily driver and it won't be out in ice and snow - well maybe once or twice to have a wee bit of a laugh!!! Cheers Gary

Hi All, Up to RA Motorsport Developments tomorrow to get my Stoptech discs, pads and new Toyo R888's fitted - cannae wait!!! Hope it's not too bad a winter or the roads could get a tad interesting. Gary

Hi All, Just about to get Stoptech discs fitted by Andy at RA Motorsport and wondered if anyone had them fited to their Impreza already and what they thought of them. I e-mailed him yesterday and he replied today with some sound advice on both brakes and options on lowering the car, he said that the hawk was prone to knocking if the car was lowered using lowering springs and standard shocks, has anyone done this and experienced this?? I know I have heard of something similar before - but not for a while. Don't really want to go down the route of coilovers - mainly because of expense to be honest!!! Cheers Gary
-
Hi Grant, I have a judder from the front end and think it's new discs required, what can you do for me on the disc front? I have a 2006 Hawkeye STI, It's also at the moment on standard springs and want it lowered a wee bit, was gonna get a coilover set, but the pennies don't stretch that far just now. If you could let me know what you can do with the price based on the parts being fitted it would be much appreciated. Cheers Gary

Well I had already made my mind up to get it done, but that's just made it 100% defo getting done now, Andy has a space for me on the 11th July, so just one call away from booking my pops and bangs - ye ha!!!! Gary
-
It does seem a love/hate thing, but as you stated, you had it, hated it, so you're getting it removed. That's the best bit of mapping - you can do what you want, and if you don't like it - you can always put it back to what it was. What mods you getting done with Andy this time? Gary
-
Sure is fella, how's the old Scoob going? Apart from the back box having a fault obviously!!! I am onto my 3rd one now, bought a Hawkeye 06 a round 3 months ago, love it - but still miss the 2.0 blobeye STi - I loved that car - as you probably noticed when you drove it away! Gary
-
Hi Fella, D5ORR - That rings a bell!!! Are you the man who bought my 2004 STi (S555 plate) off me??? Cheers Gary
-
I will ask Andy when I see him if it can have a switch mode. Might be good if it can have - but won't stop me if it cant. Happy bangin Gary
-
Very true fella, thats why the 320d tourer would be going to that bad boy - oh the advantage of having 2 cars.
-
Hi Wilky, To be honest I only drive it at the weekend and could do with something that could make me chuckle whilst driving, and as has already been stated the cars already pretty damn loud and turns heads - this will only make them turn a tad quicker!!! I had 2-stage anti-lag on the rally car and that was a hoot, if I don't like it, I can always get it mapped again. Gary
-
Got the reply from Andy so should be done in July sometime - cant wait
-
I will wait and see what he says, hopefully get a reply soon to find out what my options are. Not really wanting to go down the anti lag route and feck the turbo and engine so if its on all the time like you say, but does no harm I would be happy with that. Cheers Gary
-
Hi Fella, Just pops and bangs, the rally car I owned had anti lag and to be honest I witnessed how much the turbo glowed when it was on - not too god for a long lasting turbo or engine in my mind!!! Any ideas buddy? Gary
-
Hi Guys Any thoughts on getting some poppin and bangin added to my already mapped by Powerstation UK Ecutek system, I have e-mailed Andy F to get his thoughts, but has anyone else done it already to a 2.5 Hawkeye? Cheers Gary
-
That garage has a WRX as well in blue that they are trying to sell as an STI - not that good with Scoobs me thinks!!!!

What mods for my 2006 Black Hawkeye STI
rallyfever replied to rallyfever's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I do like that air intake in the fog light cover, where did you get that and does it do anything apart from looking good? Did you just get the back lights tinted? If not how did you do it? Cheers Gary -
Well that was interesting, leading overall on Friday night, had to retire Saturday with hunners of punctures, sitting 6th overall on Sunday, had to retire with mechanical gremlins. As they say "That's Rallying" Better luck next time Bro, buy a Scoob - much more reliable than that old Evo 9 you have!!!! Gary
-
Damian Cole also passes Dale to take 3rd and demote bro to 4th - stage 9 should be interesting, see if the wee man can keep the heed!!!! Gary
-
Steve Simpson take 5 out of Dale and overtakes him for 2nd - risks need to be taken now fella!!! Gary
-
Dale drops 13 secs to Dougie on special stage 8 - Doug now 12 secs ahead and in pole position, come on bro pull the finger out!!!! Gary
-
Bogie is on a mission in the International - now 49 secs ahead!!!! Gary
-
Hi Davie, Now in Peebles, but born and bred in Duns though, Dale is still leading after stage 7 - but only by 0.1 secs from Dougie Brydon. Dingers rule the roads round Duns!!! Not sure if they'll be able to keep it up mind you as there's a couple of WRC's on their tails. Gary
