erm yeah you can you just use the log book number instead of the tax reminder number

documents ae right, insurance, logbook and car are all the same reg. i phoned insurance again today and they assured me i was insured and that their is a note on my account to find out why it is not on the insurance database.

was trying to do it online because the reminder got sent to previous owner. should be able to do it at the post office with y reg document. as long as i'm not going to get done i'll be happy. keira

hi i wonder if anyone knows how long it takes for a cars insurance to register on askmid the company the dvla use for online car tax and if it's the same database the police use ? i've paid my years policy on the classic, the money has come out the bank, i have the documents and had confirmation on the phone that i'm insured as they needed copy of the alarm fitted etc, however i can't tax car online as dvla computer says no could i still be done for having no insurance if it pings on a traffc car even though i have my documents ?

ok in my 95 wrx auto theirs a wee buttton in front of the gear stick. having had the car two weeks and thought that must be the only button i've not pressed yet so what did i have to go do. yip i pressed it this then made me stuck in park and not just in a car park noooo it was in mcd's drive through luckily ting tong was behind me to assist and i had gears again but now i have to push it in every time i want to get it out of park. what have i done ?

thanks that sounds like what the mechanic said when i took it in this morning, he had a similar case a few weeks ago but wanted it back in this afternoon to get it up on the ramp for a good look.

got play in the steering of my classic, it's going to get looked this afternoon but being impatient thought i'd post my problem and see what replies i get. when the car isn't running and i move the play in the wheel i can hear clicking sound from under the bonet. it doesnt pull when it's driving or when i brake. i guess the suspense of knowing if it'll be safe to bring to tomorrows meet is doing my head in ha.
