Only if its been mapped by an ecutek dealer if its just a ppp cetificate then i believe the anwser is no.
-
Yeah I know what you mean, think I might be a bit more tempted to do a higher mileage car but only from an official dealer, least that way I would get some sort of decent warranty rather than chancing my luck on a private sale.
I would think it would depend on how many miles you plan on doing? If you buy a car with above average miles and then you dont do that many or you buy one with above average and then you do loads. Its going to have an effect on the resale should you come to sell it.

To be honest you would be better with a new crank but if you wish to get it ground try
Is polishing and grinding not two different things?
-
......thats a great shout, you could be right, the plate does look familiar.
Cheers,
Grant
I think this is it a few years back.
Hello and welcome to the club.

A mate from work had engine failure in his bug sti, he has since had a new engine fitted. He has a few bits left over after the engine change that i am going to post in the for sale section on his behalf. I need a hand pricing some of the items as i am not really up to speed on the prices on newage bits.
( This is not a for sale ad and i will make one up when i get all the prices ok'd with my mate )
STI intercooler ( £180 ? had a look on ebay and they all seem to be more than this price )
STI pink injectors ( £150 ? )
VF35 turbo (£350? ) engine on the car had 51000 miles
ECU from a 03 plate sti which the donor engine came from ?
STI red top manifold ?
Decat down pipe ? ( not sure of make )
Standard exhaust headers?
Any help greatly appreciated
And no chancers telling me the stuffs worth a tenner
* adjusted injectors and turbo price *

I said to myself that i wasnt going to spend any money at all on the car this year
but that didnt last and i bought a simtek ecu with launch control and anti lag
. Thankfully it was a great price secondhand i should hopefully be able to sell my apexi power fc, apexi avcr and z32 maf for more than i got the simtek

It would be a good idea to post on 22b.com to let them know.

I don`t drool just wake up with a Stoner

Dan Geo still uses the forum he has an advert in the for sale section at the moment. I am sure he will get back to you soon enough
-
Derek, how come you've not got the STi badge on the front grill?
I think he has fitted an after market grill kit.
-
Yours is mapped his is standard, you were trying he wasnt ?
-
Kenny looks like its been done before lol
-
No worries mate
Would really like to know how it works as in reading the plate ,all my lettering was fine and easily identifiable as agreed by the officer who stopped me.The only thing that was wrong with it was a spacing, does it not just recognise the characters????
Kenny
Like i said my comment wasnt aimed at you. You would more than likely be fine, its the ones that you can hardly read or that have handy black coloured screw heads to make a letter on number look like an other.
Not 100% on how it works but a quick google throws up loads of reading
-
Exactly how does the ANPR work ,why would it not read my number plate????
Kenny
Wasnt aimed you kenny but its a camera linked to a computer that reads number plates and allows the boys in blue to know if the cars are all taxed and insured or stolen and wanted. If the camera cant read the plate then they wont know.
-
Not sure if its been mentioned but what if your car is nicked and then drives past a police car fitted with ANPR but because it cant read your number plate it drives straight past .
-
A word of warning if you order anything from that site you stand a good chance of not seeing the parts or your money without mega hassle, be warned
Like bobby says dont give that guy any of your money. Try Dunc at hypertech or try the likes of Lateral performance.
Do a search on scoobynet for flatfour online and prepare for lots of bad reading.
-
Now how can anyone follow that one
Always make me smile John
Got to say that i agree with Dale on this one.
There are complaints of people driving whilst on mobile phones which we all know is illegal and we accept that but we all know the law reguarding the spacing on plates. They are both illegal so we just have to accept it and move on.
( i have a smaller than standard fron plate btw
)

Any mates in the AA?

I was in my bed after the nightshift and then heard a noise outside my house, jumps out of bed and opens the blinds to see the google car sitting right in front of my house
