  1. WRX or STi TMIC shouldn't make any difference.

I had a customers car mapped by Andy Forrest last Wednesday with a similar spec to what your doing.

2006 2.5 WRX with STi intercooler, VF34, decat, etc.

Andy took it to 1.4 bar; 350bhp and 378 lb ft. Pulls like a train from just under 3000 RPM

Thats a bit low on lb ft should be 400 plus

  2. call into Halleys Garage Ltd Glasgow Road Milngavie

For some parts off a 07 STI

they would not even look for parts unless i gave them a reg from a 07 STI

as i have a WRX there was no way i could

so they just looked and said no reg no parts

    lost my cool :P

now have ordered and recived gen subaru parts cheper from the USA

how can that make sense :boldblue:

  3. That's the reason for the resistor - the monitoring system sees it as the airbag (the resistance of the airbag being around 3 OHMS) and the rest of the airbags remain active.

sounds good but it only stops the light comming on air bags will not work

thats what i have been told my more than one person how should know

i wish it was not so as i want to change wheel and seats

is there anyone that knows for shure

  4. Cheers Derek, I will measure it with a multimeter when I get the seats off, but I just wanted to get everything together before I start to remove the seats.

i have been told that if you remove any air bag

all air bags will be disabled

so unless you want to loss all your air bags think be for you change seats

  5. Im looking for one too, meant to be outstanding on the 2.5 engines, either that or a VF34, but rare as hell 2nd hand.

The td 05-20g is £850 plus VAT

    the VF34 is well over a £1100

there are cheap ones around but are not that good i have been told

  6. addison are you victor meldrew in disguise? you only ever seem to come on here to moan about people or companys you feel hard done by. do you not see the common denomenator? YOU. get a life.

I’ve got a good life mate that I want to keep

Lets hope that a driver talking on a phone doesn’t take yours, or that of your loved ones

If they did you may feel different.

As long as people like you think it big to talk on the phone when driving

    People will die!

  7. To the tw-t in the black 05 STI

Turning into a road in cleland past road works

Driving with one hand and chatting on the phone

  8. you have been changing your oil and filter though surely?

I change my oil and filter completely every 3000 miles, and my 2.0 does use oil but I do drive hard.

Yes I change my oil and fitter every 6000 miles

I do drive hard, but live in the country may be that makes a difference?

I use MOTUL oil dose that make a difference?

On a long run on A roads I get 7 miles to the litre (V-Power) 65 to 75 mph

Could just be lucky but there must be more 2.5 that perform like this?

  9. The 2.5 engine does use oil this is normal, any excessive oil loss would show as a leak or as smoke from the exhaust, the older 2 litre engine never used a drop of oil, as to why this has changed on the 2.5 I have no idea.

    Hope this helps

    Iain

    Well i don't know about the STI but i have a 2.5 WRX 06

that i give a lot of stick too

and i don't use a drop of oil

have had it for 18 months and never toped up

    done 14000 miles
