Thats a really good point you've raised. I'm propable not committed to the Richard Burns Memorial Charity enough to warrant owning the car. However I would suggest that Prodrive didn't develop the car solely for the fan, as there are new cars sitting in the dealers showrooms, but to return a profit. Richard was a fantastic driver who dead to young and I in no way would undermine any of his achievement's. It was not my intension to upset any of the club members in raising this thread and would like to apologize if this has been the case.

Hi COL2 Yes it is already de-badged but I'm not so sure about the Subaru badges LOL
-
They are a superb looking car but it's the reliability question that would concern me but that said they do have a fabulous sound track

That's very nice to know Ian, that makes the Porsche more interesting. Perhaps Kent should be called The Kent Subaru Impreza & motoring club so that us wayward chaps can still be members of this GREAT group of guys. Put that on the agenda?

OK GUY's This is the dilemma do I go for the fully loaded, 10 miles on the clock RB 320 or this Porsche GT3 with full Porsche service history and 31000 miles on the clock, one year Porsche warranty. It's not quite mint condition but very close, has all the toy's except sat nav. The Insurance is the same price, service costs are almost the same. The Porsche is a really comfortable drive but doesn't really feel that fast although on paper it is. I'm not allowed to drive the RB320 because they don't want any more miles put on the clock, which I can understand. If I go for the GT3 I will have to sell the scooby. Jazz Jill wants me to have the RB 320 so that she can have the WRX. Now you can understand my dilemma. Not that it will make my mind up but let me know your thoughts.

I'm really sorry to hear of your woe's . If I can help in anyway just email me . Lee is about to fix up a date for the guy that done his RB320 last time and I'm having some small dings removed. So it might be worth emailing him. How's the family? Hope there all keeping well. See you soon

Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
Scooby Hoo? replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
Hi Yogi. If you feel that it's a waste of time meeting perhaps you can let us know how you would like to see the club move forward. Do you think that it's time for a change of leadership and what would be your vision for the future of the club. -
If you want a club t-shirt then someone needs to just go out and do it. This was my intension 8 months ago but I got my wrist slapped, should have done it anyway. You lot couldn't organize a P*** Up In a Brewery, and thats the truth, sorry to say

SUN-LEISURE GAZEBOS A POWDERCOATED STEEL AND ALL THE JOINTS HAVE REPLACEABLE BOLTS A 6 X 3 UNIT WEIGHTS APPROX 80-90 kgs BUT IS BROKEN DOWN INTO TWO HALVES AND IT HAS CANVAS WITH A BUILT IN THERMAL BARRIER SO THAT IT DOESN'T GET BOILING HOT IN THE SUMMER.
-
YOU BUY THE WALLS SEPARATELY BECAUSE YOU CAN HAVE A VARIETY OF DOORS / WINDOWS COMBINATIONS.
-
Hi Guy's . I don't mean to be a spoil sport but those more cost effective gazebo's are a real pain to erect and last about as long as a swans death song. What I was THINKING was that some of the clubs members have small business and I for one, would be willing to make a larger contribution towards the cost of a descent unit that would last a few years. In return I would like to see my business promoted, say on one of the walls. Then the club could purchase a fast erect gazebo. For something good expect to pay about £350-500. My small company would be prepared to commit say £200. It's up to you so lets have your feedback. I have had one of this company's units for some years and there're top kit. £400 buys a 6m 3m unit with walls ect. Have a look. www.sun-leisure.com swift shade

I must agree that this proposal would eliminate the need to set up a temporary secretary and made the transition to an affiliated SIDC regional club a lot smoother. I would give this proposal my full support. With regards to a fee of £10, I have already suggested this sum , so again I agree. Might I ask that one of the longer standing members compile a formal poll

Kent Regional Organiser. . Time For A Change?
Scooby Hoo? replied to Dalthegooner's topic in South East England
Hi Guys and Gals. This is an open letter and meant as no more than, my personnel thoughts. I have only been a member of the SIDC for almost one year and do come along to Kent Scooby Club meets. I'm not aware that I am a member of KSC as I've never had to pay any fees or have been asked to sign up. So my first question is -1 is there a formal KSC 2 is there a charter 3 is there a committee. My understanding is that at the moment the club is organized by Pele, with no formal help from anybody else and that people can organize outings/meets at will. I think that I'm right when I say that I have noted occasions when Pele has asked for help, How much help and support has she received ? I don't know, although she has received a lot of criticism from a lot of us, myself included. Has anyone taken the time to ask Pele what her vision is for the future of the KSC and would she like to see KSC become a formally run Club with membership fees and a committee. If we are to have a KENT SCOOBY CLUB then it must not fall on the shoulders of one member to have to organize everything. Decisions should be made by a quorate of committee members. The Club should be run by voted members for the good of the members. Its a decision that only the guys and gals that turn up to the meets can make. I think that Pele should be given the opportunity to say how she would like to see the club move forward, we must bear in mind that, if not for Pele we might not be meeting. As nobody wanted to promote the club in the early years. Anyway thats only my thoughts. Now you can correct my mistakes as to the club's history. -
Hi Tony. Yes it might still be possible for you to make a claim, however if the account has been closed, by you, it may not be. A test case is being heard in the Courts as we speak and until a ruleing has been made none of the Banks are making any refunds. Try looking at www.unfair-bank-charges.com Good Luck
