  1. HI all as anyone heard of or used mines ecu, ive fitted a front mount , induction kit and td05, and was wondering if these ecu are as got as mapping, theyare surposed to program them self to your ungrades after 15 minuits if driving, i have a 97 wrx ?

Best to stay away from mines ecu, if you have that list of mods ESL or apexi would be the best bet.

  2. Slowboy Racing is moving and will be closed from the 9th of June and re opening on the 14th of June. The new workshop is next to Brand Hatch race circuit which is about 30 mins drive from the current workshop, this is a larger newer and more accessible unit making easy access from London, Kent and surrounding areas.

  3. Wayne,

The forge waste gate has increased spring pressure over the OE unit. This will give somewhat better boost control and aid holding boost for longer, however non of which can be made the most of without a simple remap of the OE ecu which would be the most cost effective way forward at this point. The 06 WRX can see a nice improvement over stock with this option. For the wastegate chatter sound you would need to fit ether an induction kit which is not really the best option for various reasons, or for similar effects a aftermarket VTA dump valve. In my opinion both OE Subaru parts work better than aftermarket kit at this level. Bear in mind any change to induction will need to be accounted for on the ECU.

    Hi All,

Can anyone give me some advise please? I would like to tweak my car a little and would like some ideas on how to do it without spending vast fortunes.

I have a 06 WRX standard apart from a green panel filter

Have been looking at getting a new Forge waste gate fitted but don't have a clue if this would require any other upgrades.

also the car is very quite would like a little more noise maybe some chatter or something like that from the waste gate.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  7. It’s done well to last,. Ultimately the box will fail and when it does it’s generally down to 3rd or 2nd. Boxes break running standard power so it’s a real tuff one to put power rating when all things are considered.

If you need a quick diagnosis of the problem feel free to drop buy.
