I got a new Makita buffer for polishing the car today and boy does it make it shine! Pity i aint got any meguiars left so it was back to the old autoglym[] Which must be the worst for leaving white powder everywhere. Ah its just an in-between turbo till its run in im unsure if its a 16g or an 18g tdo5 (no boost anyway) [:'(] most things that are bolted to the new engine will be getting changed after its done its 1st 1000 miles its straight back in [] What are you getting turbo wise...? No problem[] One that makes a lot of power [] Well i picked it up this afternoon and i had forgot just how loud my exhaust was so i popped back round to meercats to get a new back box made up 1 thats a bit quieter! because its only going to get louder with the new bolt ons SOUNDS INTERESTING[] Gives us a shot gun when it's done or vice versa

I am the same a few bolt on bits and bobs are all i am comfortable with.Although i am fine with that as was said a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing especially in my case as that is how i blew mine up. Oh and cool site i like knowing how to do it but would still just rather get it done properly.

Spoke to bill tonight and i am going to pick my car up at greers in the morning. I Can't wait to get back in it instead of driving my mondeo they are so crap.Anyway it would appear that after the help meltdown post i had done a lot more damage than i had imagined!! Rod through the block which was a fair size of a hole,heads blown to bits and i mean every bit of them was junk and the pistons were a little melted as well.Thats what i get for fiddling with the bleed valve.So new engine in and i just need to put a 1000 miles on it and then back in for the rest of the bits and pieces to get fitted.[]

Was the car bought from Keighley trade centre as that looks like there garage and i was well warned not to go near there

I managed to drop my wagon 40mm on 19s without any rubbing but i hated the way the car drove after fitting them that was on 35 profile tyres so there is plenty of room

Hi i have 2 questions i am building a spare 2.0 for my scoob so that i can put it back to what it was before it melted for selling on purposes as i wont be keeping the new engine in the car if i sell it. Anyhoo i just phoned my local breakers yard to see if they had a spare engine and they do BUT its from an R reg wrx import and as my current engine is 2002 model will all my parts from my 2002 fit this block eg heads exhaust and things and finally what cars did the close deck block come in?[*-)]
