  1. No news yet dude but will give you a shout as soon as I know anything, mine has your name on it so there are no worries there []
  2. Slight change of plan Only going to have one pour on the saturday, delivered at 9am. This will be the second pour as I am getting the first delivered on Friday at 10am. I should be alright for the Friday in regards to manpower but if any of you are not working and feel you need to get out and do something constructive then feel free to pop down and lend a hand [] Having just the one pour first thing saturday morning means there is more time to get cleaned up and get out to watch some of the rally. Want to say a big thank you to John, Mark and Gareth (Gareth came to the meet last night with Dan) for volenteering (sp) to help out. How do you like your bacon guys? Red or brown sauce?
  3. Just wanted to say thanks again for letting me use your car for a trial fit last night Marc, was good to meet you also. So it looks like I might get away with using 5mm spacers to get the Speedlines to clear the calipers, used 2x 3mm shims last night and there was a bit of a gap between the back of the wheel and the caliper so it looks promising. All I need now are the breaks which have just been collected by the courier from the seller this morning, only 3 days late, but thats another story, not the sellers fault.
  4. [] what a difference, your mate will be gobsmacked fancy a trip to the Isle of Man to do my Scoob Iain?
  5. may not be all bad news then [] spoke to Keith @ Revolution (top bloke by the way) after a recommendation from a fella on SN. Keith said that if his memory serves correct, I might be able to use a 5mm spacer to get the wheels to clear the 4 pot calipers. I have some 3mm shims in the garage so will be bringing them with me tonight to try with the wheel. Does anyone know if I can use 5mm spacers, will I need extended studs? or do you think I would get enough turns on the nut with the standard studs?
  6. I'm gonna be in the minority here, I say loose it. Dont like them at all. If it had been the roof flap on the other hand that would have got a [Y]
  7. No worries Richard, thanks for reading anyway and coming back to me congratulations to you both for today, I hope you have a fantastic trip. []
  8. Thanks man, what time you headin to Peel and where you coming from? sweet type r by the way [Y]
  9. Thanks John, I do realise that but I really have to get this bit done and finished before TT so my homestay guests have somewhere to park so dont reall have much of a choice. Like I said we should be done by lunchtime so there should be some time over to take in a stage or two. Besides the rally that matters is not til July during Scoobyfest [][] Have a couple of offers to try wheels on cars tomorrow night but we can certainly take one off again and offer it up to the 300 [Y]
  10. thanks very much, do you have a trolley jack? i only have one and it would be quicker and easier than using the little thing out the boot. have the offer of using another car too so will see who is there first []
  11. Evening all As some of you are aware I have been excavating my garden lately, I am glad to say all the digging has now pretty much been completed. I am now getting to the point of calling in the concrete delivery man, I was hoping some of you would be available to lend me a hand next saturday (the 12th) I am looking for around an extra 6 pairs of hands to help lay the concrete. The delivery fella said we have only half an hour to get the concrete off the mixer lorry (or they start charging me a fortune), so the more hands the better really as the concrete would go off within the hour meaning we would have to work quite fast. Am not sure yet wether we are going to go for one or two pours (spose it really depends on how many of you can help), it is a rather large area so might have to go for two anyway. Would ask him to come out with the first pour maybe about 9ish saturday morning then come back maybe 2 hours later with the second, meaning we would hopefully be all done and dusted by lunch time. Bacon or sausage baps and plenty cups of tea would be provided along with some lunch if we run on a little later than planned. Thanks all, and I would owe you big time. Dave
  12. Richard reccomends these guys I had a look at the dealer locator on the Subaru website and cant find them I am sure Richard will be on at some point today and will give you the number You gettin the same old story from BC?
  13. Hi again Dan was good to meet you last night, cant wait to see your car with the 16's on it. Not sure if my old calipers would fit your car, once I have taken them off you are more than welcome to come round and we can have a look see.
  14. been and had a look and I reckon I have about the same clearance with the calipers that are on the car just now, not sure how much wider the 4 pots are compared to the ones currently on the car. probably considerably thicker knowing my luck. the 4 pots should be arriving this week, so hopefully will get a chance over the bank holiday weekend to have a play around if I cant find anyone with 4 pots. That are willing to let me try one of my wheels on thier car one evening this week to check clearances. what wheels do you have mate? do you have 4 pots or the little standard numbers like in my first pic?
  15. Well I deffinately will not be going back to the gold 16's cause new fella to the forum Dan has just been up to mine to buy them, sorry Nix (I touch goats by the way). Turns out he is the fella my mate told me about a couple of months back that would take my 16's if i ever decided to sell them Just a reminder of how small the Isle of Man is eh? LOL anyway back to the matter at hand [:'(]
  16. Pretty safe to say I am not going back to the 16's as I have had 2 enquiries about them and to be honest could do with the cash as I couldn't really afford the 4 pots but they were just too good to miss. If I cant get the Speedlines to clear the calipers then they will be going up for sale too and the scoob will have to sit on some axel stands until I can afford some 17's that will clear the 4 pots, a shame really the car looks so good on them too, as those of you who are coming will see on Wednesday. Not going to cry but we are close [:@] LOL
  17. I have now learned that my nice new shiney refurbed wheels I spent so long working on will not clear my nice new shiney 4 pots [:'(] has anyone here had any experience with these? does anyone know how far the wheel would have to come out to clear the caliper? if not would anyone like to offer their 4 potted car for a little trial fit? maybe at the meet on Wednesday? I am sooooo gutted []
  18. definately de doggies danglies dude [H]
  19. Just going to watch myself, I have made the excutive decision not to go on the track this time, gonna wait til I have my new brakes on first. Did the last one and had a blast but the standard brakes on the WRX left a lot to be desired. Missed a couple of corners cause I could not slow the car down in time [:$]
  20. Yep sure is Saturday 5th May. RUNNING CLOCKWISE Sign on from 12.00 Briefing at 12.40 Track opens 13.00, closes at 16.00
  21. Thanks Nix and replied [Y][]
  22. Sorry to hear that fella [] Am starting to think you should take it across to have it checked out, claim the boat costs on the warrenty as BC do not have a qualified technition.
  23. I signed this last week. Cant remember if it was posted on here or SN but have deffo signed cause if they go through with this I only have 1 year left of wonderful classic ownership
