  13. Hi Jon and welcome to the Isle of Man (almost) just had one of the tarmac rallies on this weekend so you've just missed two days of standing on a hedge freezing you *** off [] there are plenty of good pubs/restaurants about the place just depends where your staying (i assume Douglas) loads to suggest really just depends what sort of food your after really. The Millenium Saagar is a crackin indian for example (douglas) or a place called Coasters does a good variety of food. Accomodation TT week could be a bit of a problem because its the centenary this year pretty much everywhere is booked up in Douglas. Also depends how much your company is willing to cough up for a place to stay ie Mount Murray is nice but expensive as is the Empress but am sure when your over it will be easier to sort something out then. Am sure a few of the troops would be up for a meet sometime soon to introduce ourselves. See you shortly [Y] Mark
  14. Will do soon as the weathers decent enough and i remember to buy new batteries for the camera! Just ordered the brakes so they should be here by next week with a bit of luck!!! []
  15. Well my new bits arrived on thursday afternoon so had a busy weekend getting them all fitted! This weekend fitted a complete exhaust system (hayward & scott) uprated fuel pump, HKS induction kit, and baileys BOV, also complete service done as well. Checked the brakes and they need replacing pretty soon especially the back ones as their getting to be none existant!! so looks like the headers and front mount will have to wait a bit longer than I hoped [:'(] oh well could be worse at least I've got my new wheels to look forwards too next week [] will post some pictures of the mods in the week for anyone interested.
  16. visqueen is blue polytheen comes in rolls usually. no a whacker plate would probably bury itsely in wet concrete would make an interesting talking point in years to come though [] no the vibrator is basically a two inch wide pole by about two foot long attatched to a small compressor if memory serves me correctly. then you just place it in the concrete at various places to vibrate all the air bubbles out we use them when pouring a slab for a house because of the weight involved. the main thing with it will be if its hot on the friday and saturday once its screeded up to hose it down occasionally so that it doesnt dry too rapidly this will cause it to shrink too much, crack and become weaker than it should be!! drove past your house last night on the way to peel so i know where im going now []
  17. go to www.photobucket.com set up an account upload your pictures onto your online account (doesn't cost anything) when you have uploaded them copy the image file name ( third box down from the picture and just paste it into your post. when you log on it gives you step by step instructions the first time round
  18. no worries only too glad to help. if you need a hand with anything else just give me a shout. see you a week on saturday
  19. Dave I touch goats. oh crispy bacon and brown sauce for me please mmmmmmmmmmmm crispy bacon [] suddenly i'm in the mood for food!!! im working the friday im afraid but will see you saturday bright and breezy. u got barrows, rakes, and some form of a screeder sorted out? dont forget your wellies people you'll be sorry if you do!!! (watch me be the only one that forgets his now!!!) [:$][]
  20. yeah i do just a matter of finding it put it in a safe place just got to remember which one lol []. i will dig the jack out and bring it with me anyway just in case. here's a picture of my car by the way so you know who i am sort of lol. see you tomorrow night []
  21. at the minute i've got a set of 17" subaru wheels of a legacy on still waitin for my new ones to show up [:@] i've got four pot calipers on mine and am pretty sure i will be at the meet tomorrow night will be going straight up though wont have time to get the grandstand in as well. so if we get chance can try your wheels tomorrow if you like to see if they fit.
  22. went and had a look at mine before on my car at the moment i've got a set of 17" rims which are running 225, 45, 17 tyres and these wheels give me 15mm clearence from the outer edge of the caliper to the back edge of the wheel spoke. and measuring as best i could from the inside edge of the wheel to where it sits on the hub was approx 30mm dunno if any of that is any help to you or not
  23. thats a damn pity!!! they don't need to be 17's to fit over the 4 pots cause the version 4 type R's came standard with 4 pot calipers and 16 inch rims. whats the problem with the speedlines? is the back edge of the rim gonna catch the caliper? think i would be having a large .
  24. hi mate welcome to the forums. i'm in castletown so if i see you will give u a flash and a wave not sure but think i saw you in douglas on friday night [*-)]
