  1. gutted mate..................why is she going and what have you lined up?

I'm just bored with it I think, and I'm doing too many motorway miles for a loud exhaust. I've got nothing exciting in mind, maybe an A4? Maybe just a new engine in my Mk 1 golf and relive my boyhood.

  2. Have yourself a Baskin and Robbins for me.

Can't say I liked KAF much (too many septics), but at least you won't get bored.

I was speaking to some of the KBR boys at BSN, and they had it easy. They just dropped the jingleys off to do the work in the morning, and picked them up later. All for loads of money!!

Keep safe and buy an Aston Martin when you get back with your tax free earnings.

  3. Wotcha.

Glad to hear you care!!! Don't tell Ed, he'll be jealous.

I've been a busy bunny lately. I've just bought a house in Devon, moved to Reading with work, Started the final year of a Degree and bought this little beauty

The Scoob is parked up until I get bored of 60 throbbing horse power. I'm still waiting for a turbo from Flat 4 to bang on it, but it's looking more and more like i'll have to start small claims procedures to get my money back.

I'll see you around sometime no doubt, I pop into Swindon to see a chick every now and again.

    :driving:

  4. I ordered some discs and brake shoes, and payed direct into his account. When they hadn't turned up within a fortnight I rang him direct to see what was happening.

I had to forward the original e-mail with the order, for him to track it, and it turned out he had missed the order. I then got the discs about 3 days later.

I had NO problems with unanswered e-mails and managed to speak to him on the phone every time I tried.

I guess he's just a busy bloke, that could do with a secretary.

  5. Alright bud, good to hear you are still in one piece. I bugged out before it started getting too hot!

On the ECU side, it all depends what else you are going to do to it. "Normal" tuning can be done with the standard ECU, with maybe the addition of a boost controller (Apexi, HKS etc) but for more interesting stuff, a standalone ecu like a simtek or a hydra (tracktive solutions) can be programmed to do all sorts like antilag and launch control. £600 is a bit cheap though. Splash the cash, you are saving enough at the minute!

  6. As above really. I can't think of the exact Subaru setup, but the neg from the battery will be attached to the chassis, and there will be a neg from the engine block to the chassis. If this is missing, the starter can't earth through the block. In an extreme situation, you may get arcing between the block and chassis. I've seen braided fuel lines get mega hot when cranking and spark up!

You could always try running a spare bit of earth braid from a inlet manifold bolt, straight to the batt neg.

  7. This is now on hold as my next 2 dental appointments will cost me £1800....

    ...Bloody private dentists. lol

Join the Army mate....... Get it done for naff all........

Failing that.... There is a new Jap import auction on a Tuesday night at Thuxton....... Older Impreza's for as little as 800 notes.

Got to be worth a punt.

    Hello by the way.

  8. For crying out loud.......... Havn't we settled on a soddin' colour yet?

    Who really cares that much?

Vix, JD, If no one can sort it out, go firm on a colour, and take orders. If no one orders.........who cares? You can't please everyone, and you can't be different from everyone else without looking like knobs.

I stand firm by my previous order if it ever gets to the production stage. ( I am back off to Canada until Dec if that will make a difference for payment)

  9. Lol ive looked at this thread 3 times and only just spotted the "WRX" on the back doh

    Hope everythin there is cool

    Cool?? It's redders out here.

I'm on the juice in Edmonton now, and was copping off with Hooters girls last night!!

  10. I have had a few days playing with it and can say with some certainty that the cross country ability is far better than the old model, and impact protection is better too. Pedestrian safety and performance have suffered with the extra weight.
