  1. Hi all, Martynj, AKA Mapped by Martyn, Enginetuner and many other names that I can't say on a public forum. Likes: My job, Kylie and good food. Dislikes: The remote control not working, that look the wife gives me when I mention Kylie, David Bloody Cassidy.
  2. Sorry to hear of your loss Mel + Mark, our thoughts are with you.
  3. Boost tailing away at a rapid rate , as JD mentioned we suspect he may have an issue with his boost control solenoid not functioning correctly.. This lead to him having 1.8bar midrange and only 1.2 bar at the top end , it would normally hold 1.5 bar flat to the red line.. If he would hurry up and win the lottery I could get his 2.1 Stroker in it and show it 2bar+....
  4. If kids are welcome we will be up for this.....

He can have pictures of me laying all over the Scooby if he is paying......lol

    Welcome

Welcome to SIDC my lovely wife....
  7. Only your previous best m8.......
  8. Obviously I wish to cause no offence paticularly to my good friend Alan ..... Lets see if we can clear this up a bit... While Enginetuner do not own a demo car , we have on occasion borrowed Steves car to demo the spec to others interested in a similar package , so I suppose in a way that does make it a demo car in the same way Plumbscoobs old car used to be... It will also be proudly displayed on the Enginetuner stand at Japfest this year along side the Black car Alan described... Anyone and everyone is invited to attend our rolling road days whether they are running or not and to have a couple of cars tuned by ourselves prominantly on display never does any harm.... Martyn
  9. Morning , you haven't got time to be posting on here...Get and rack some miles up....
  10. Don't think I wish to cause offense hear Pete , but I think you need to understand that the difference between an 8 second 1/8th and a 7 second 1/8th is a lot...ScoobyDazza with his nearly 500bhp and over 500lbft only runs a 7.6 1/8th on a fully prepped drag surface at Shakespeare County in a car designed to do nothing else... This was good enough to give him an 11 second 1/4 last year , and if you know anything about Subarus you know very well that that is an awesome time for a road car.... Many congrats JD and the best of luck for the rest of the year , hope everyone who attended had a good day and I will look forward to seeing you all at the next event.... Martyn
  11. Did you manage to dip in to the 7's then Pete.......?
  12. Thanks for the write up ED..... The boost as you can see from the graphs was a lowly 1.1 bar midrange with 1.5 bar topend , this was due to an issue with the external wastegate...This is going to be addressed with fitting a larger or another one to go with it... We fully expect this car to male 550+bhp on pump fuel and 600+bhp on race fuel @ 1.8bar boost... We have Martin Vincent of Japanese Performance on his way down tomorrow to feature the car so keep your eyes peeled for it in a future mag....
  13. I have seen a few Tommy Kairas over the years , all of them were standard 2.0 litre engines...... I won't argue that there may have ben 2.2 litre versions , but I haven't seen any....
  14. Bloody freezing m8 , lol...Was a cracking day though , photographer took loads more pics which are being sent to Adrenaline and then on to us...As soon as we get them I will get them up...
  15. SORRY m8 , it's only just dawned on me that you didn't even have a go yourself.... Will make up for that next time.....Will get you in the Murtaya when we get its missfire sorted and the RCM headers on....400lbft should be nice....
  16. Drove the Black GT35Rd beast on Tuesday JD , WOW....It is simply staggering and comes on boost from no revs at all.... Will give you a go when it is ran in and mapped.....!!
  17. Very well and I would just like to personally thank everyone for a great day...!!! I believe JD will be posting all the results later aswell as the prize winners for the day.... This may turn into a regular yearly event and we would like to see a few more of the SIDC members from further afield at future events... Martyn
  18. One at South Brent approx 15 miles outside of Plymouth , unfortunately on the wrong side of the A38 but not hard or far to detour to....
  19. To put this into perspective lets not forget that JD's car is over 200kgs heavier than the classic.... I also suspect due to the larger turbo on JD's car that should they be competing over a 1/4 mile the gap would be far larger... I found it very hard going on Sunday in the 460hp classic we took along as I just couldn't get it off the line (Something I will be resolving when we take the car testing at Smeathorpe in a couple of weeks time) , when I did get the thing moving it was sensational at the top of the track still managing to cross the 1/8th @ 95mph with my crappy starts...
  20. To make more of a day of it the organisers will be holding a 0 - 60 challenge aswell as a handling circuit to keep the day flowing freely.... Loads to see and do so pop on round.... Martyn
  21. The old man says it's my waif like figure that allows me to get such a good start....lol
  22. lol...should be even quicker now bud , threw a small amount of money at it this week... Walboro pump , adjustable pressure reg , new HUGE air filter...lol Tweaked the boost a smidge .. Now have a live mapable daughterboard on route from Aus too so I can have a crack at mapping it to the limits of the standard turbo...330 - 350bhp...Just have to figure out how to get a hybrid from one of our suppliers without paying for it now...
  23. Loving picture number 9...lol Can't believe how nose high the Pulsar gets off the line...!
