william_young replied to bigdavie's topic in Scottish Scoobies
you will be fine remember you can drive already its just to do with getting use to teh size . i was lucky my work put me through mine when i was 21 iam an hgv mechanic so i didnt pay for it and teh trucks today are esaier to drive than most cars . the new man has a button on the gear stick that works teh clutch so you dont have to press the pedal and they will stop quicker than a car also good lucky let us know how you get on -

hi mate i got mine in 2001 it wasnt hard you have to do a parking manover in they car park before you leave and also an emergency stop then its out for a drive for about 45 mins . when you are on you drive you have to do a uphill start a downhill start and pulling away for the side of the road . the test for class one and two are the same , theory test is not hard either just common sense i have never had a driving job but there is loadds in this area iam in dundee you can always register will any agency. where are you from there is a test staion in perth , kirkcaldy, and montrose and aberdeen not sure about glasgow or edinburgh way remember you have to do the class two first then the class one , also need a medical for the doc before you can get a provisanal licence if you can get a company to pay for it your laughing . it would be around £800 + for each coarse hope this helps billy -
thanks for all the replys its been a great help cheers billy
