I would say its worth the road trip.
Thanks to AWD from me for sorting my brakes at my service last week.
And I'm back again next week, I'd highly recommend them

cleaning engine bay can get addictive, watch out.
Its all your fault getting me started, lol
-
Good luck with the engine bay mate, its something I'd like to make a proper job of myself.
Graphics are lookin quite good [Y]

Aye I must be aff ma heed!
Remember I can still give it a bit of go coz full boost for me is 2800 rpm.
maybe ill try a clarkson style endurance test one day but I doubt it, lol
-
Very hard to do!!!
280 miles was my previous best but that was snailing to the petrol station after having the petrol light on too long!
This time the light came on just before I got to the garage, 49.7 litres so technically still had 10.3 litres to play with!
-
...managed to get more than 300 miles to one tank until the petrol light came on.
In fact made 312.9 miles so did the wee calculations and worked out at 28.6 mpg and costing 16.19 pence per mile.
I only managed because I kept the revs below 3000 rpm for the whole tank and result, hard to do but a result!
I know this has been discussed before but feel free to add your own petrol consumption achievements/disappointments!

Some Insurance companies do not insure scoobys to under 25's!
For example, A-Plan, who I am currently with..........but wait you say, I'm only 22 so they obviously do insure to under 25's.
The only reason they insured me was because I had already been driving the car for a year and had gained another year no claims driving a scooby, which ment I had experience driving it.
many insurance companies will insure young drivers, at a price which I was willing to pay last year because I could afford it.
You got to know your own limits, an advanced driving course would certinally be worthwhile, I'd like to do that myself one day!
Back on topic, its sad to hear about young drivers involved in accidents in subarus or any car for that matter!

Thats a quality thread, I'm impressed with the detective work done by the forum members to protect future members!
Only so many pages read so far, 290 guests reading it [

Looks like a nice clean example you got there, very nice

it does give me concern that guys that age can get these cars
The drivers 24!
Exactly !!!
Well as the guys say it isnt fair to speculate mate, so I wont, but you can bet your bottom dollar the cops will be looking at it
I mean impreza turbo wrx, full of young boys, it doesnt look or sound great, but we have all been there at some point.
Very true

That looks really bad, hope the boys are ok!
-
it means it's a UK model which is the same as a JDM model but with the good bits taken out of it.
LOL
-
I hope this guy is genuinely interested and not eyeing your car up for a theft!!
Seem to hear about this every time I have a browse on the forum!
Not sure what it would be worth though mate, why not make this your project...350, 400bhp lol

I heard/read somewhere before that the police can have a tracker enabled so that they can trace your car (even though you hadnt subscribed)!
Maybe worth a try, no harm in asking your local Police!
Hope you get all this sorted mate, gutted for you

It ain't daft!!
Phase 1 is all classics up to 1996
Phase 1.5 is all classics from 97-98
Phase 2 is all classics from 99-00
The reason there is a phase 1.5 was that there were only minor changes from phase 1 unlike the major changes brought in for phase 2.
he he, fair enough coulty [

-
Coulty mate, Could you be kind enough to explain the Phase 1, 1.5 and 2 cars...
I've never heard phases before in relation to scoobys...
Phase 2 is 99/00 cars like mine and yours dale!
Ive not heard of phase 1.5, sounds daft!
