I'm just back from mapping with Andy F. My car is much improved now, and I can see why he is recommended by so many people. People like Andy F., Greersport, Meercat, Hypertech (& I'm sure plenty of others), all make the experience of owning a Scooby a pleasure.
Apparently my boost sensor is giving weird readings -225? at idle. If any one has one fo a MY98 pm me please.
-
I'm not sure if these are legal in the UK? http://www.nothingtoxic.com/media/11295288...ng_Flame_Device
I like their style!
-
Yeah please explain. I have a MY98UK Turbo and I was looking to do this. I've been told that the later top mounts are an ideal swap out, and won't limit me as I don't want to go above 400bhp.

Congrats

I'm glad you are OK mate - really scary stuff. Sounds like you did the right thing under extreme pressure. Well done for keeping it together. I think I would have just crapped myself.
I remember seeing a program a few months back, that went into anti car jacking/evasive driving techniques. The only thing I remember is make sure you can at least see the car in fronts rear tyres. I thought it was interesting, but never thought anyone would need it in Scotland! I found this link http://www.securityandsafety.co.uk/main6.htm that seems to offer some good general advice.
I'll be keeping an eye out.

Don't think it was me? I do have a red wagon with an SIDC sticker tho!
-
Toyo's here too.. They r great
-
Is that the Meercat?
-
So, What do you think is going to be the quietest out of these two exhausts without restricting power? The most I'll take the car up to is about 300bhp. I only do about 8k miles a year and it's really just my commute to work and obviously a few runs for fun
-
Thats the Scobworld afterburner. Aren't they meant to be mega loud? I'm really looking something in between, nice rumble but not too boomy on the old M8.... Please don't change my mind - it's taken me ages to get down to 2! I need more power and a better sound than my standard exhaust.
-
Hi all. Looking for some advice where to look for some good quality car mats for my classic wagon. Any pointers?
Also are the scooby wagon interior mats any different in shape? I can't tell as the last owner of my car had fitted generic badly fitting mats.
-
I'm back! Sorry for the long absence. Hi all - it's good to be back.
I'm looking to get a new exhaust for my classic wagon (turbo back) and am pretty sure I've narrowed it down to 2. I know you all think I'm mad, but I want it with a sports cat, as I can't be bothered swapping things out every year.
What I would like is a link to a video/sound file of both of these exhausts to help me make the decision. I'm aware of another thread on here somewhere with exhaust notes but I couldn't find a Revolution exhaust sound.
1- Meercat with sports cat. Custom job - I'm aware you'll get some varied sounds depending on build spec. I emailed Meercat and they are working on getting a sports cat integrated into the snakehead. I know they are well regarded looking at these forums. I liked the sound of G.Mac's exhaust
2- Revolution 3" with sports cat. Off the shelf jobby. (Not a jobby of the shelf - that would sound crap................. sorry)
I hope someone can put me out of my misery!
-
You got a parachute on the beast??? WD mate. Very quick car and cat-like reactions....
-
Superb pics. I don't know how you managed to get the one of Squirrel with constipation[] Brings tears to your eyes....
-
Superb video my fluffy friend.
-
Sorry I missed it - I had to work. Sounds a great day. Maybe next time, you'll have a wagon joining up if I'm allowed.[]

WIY - Green classic wagon, giving it some along the Kirkintillock road nr Springburn at about 6pm today? I hope you managed to see the speed camera.

Hi mate & welcome
-
ps - if this goes down like a lead balloon, I'm going to have to badger some of you to help cos I know who's bought what []
I am known as an expert in the art of badger.... lol
-
Cheers mate. I will check them.
-
Imy,
Got anything in the pipeline for a 2-3 year old? BabyBadger loves fast cars and would look pretty cute in Scottish Scoobie stuff.
-
Lol...... I feel the pain.. But mostly in my wallet. But it is good - and I like it... [:$]
I've taken the plunge :)

Andy was saying the -225 reading was static and normally if it's a mechanical problem you would still see this number fluctuating. Apparently it's clipping when the boost is set to 1.2 because of this. I'm running on the 1.15 setting at the moment . It's a weird one. I'll have another good look at the hoses this morning to double check.
Even set at 1.15 it goes pretty well for a wagon I have always been keeping an eye on the forums when I can, but it is good to be back posting. It's is pretty difficult balancing ffinding time with my young family, sleep and my scooby. And yes, I think it took me 2 weeks after I got the car to be sliding down that slippery slope and start modding
